Now if you both buy the same car on the same day, and live next door but you have the perfect driving record and you neighbor is unemployed or under employed, he has 4 Drunk driving charges, 5 claims against him i the last 3 years, has been involved in 2 hit and run accidents, he is going to pay out the ass for the same insurance that you get for a decent price.
Obama care flips that, the one that is least able to pay but is in the highest risk catagory for health issues, is the one that pays less, while the guy that works, takes care of himself, doesnt drink or use drugs, has not been arrested for gun related crimes etc... pays more. As a matter of fact, the guy that is least likely to expose the insurance industry to high costs is the one that will end up paying for the guy that exposes them, while the poor candidate for insurance essentially enjoys the same coverage as you for free.

Before, premiums rose at an average of 31% for everyone.

After, it was 20% average.

The CBO said without the ACA, the current rise would be 42%.

During the Bush years, the number one cause of bankruptcy were medical bills.

premiums are only a part of the equation when it comes to the cost of the health care.
so what if premiums went up 20% instead of 42% ? thats a pretty small number when you consider that the lower rate increase was only possible due to the out of pocket increases, notice they dont want to brag about the out of pocket? people that were paying 500 a year out of pocket before insurance kicked in are now finding out of pocket numbers close to 10,000 dollars. now add that increase to the 20% increase of their premiums and figure what the total increase was for them, because thats the real number.
Its how the industry was able to cover all of the worthless pieces of shit that for some reason think they have a right to mooch off of the labor of responsible people.
before you post the feel good numbers, look at the whole picture. The fact that you dont realize this indicates that you are most likely one of the mooches that are getting the subsidy. This means, you actually have better and cheaper insurance than someone that pays for it. and you should not. you should have basic ER care and if you have to stay in the hospital you damn sure should never even be allowed on a floor with private rooms. your accommodations should be the cheapest that they can legally get away with. you should suffer the affirmative action doctors, not the people that actually are responsible in their life. the medications that these mooches get should be the stuff that is right at its expiration date, or the stuff that worked but was replaced by something that worked better. There is no way these cockroaches deserve the same care as the person that is forced to pay for them. Think, table scraps.
