The national ramifications is we'd all be better off if people were able to make a living wage doing tough jobs and not having to go to the government for Section 8, Food Stamps and MedicAid.

Here's the thing. The total GDP of the country is 17 TRILLION. That's enough to pay every man woman and child $50,000 a year for just being alive. NOw, I'm not suggesting that, because we all need an incentive to work and produce that 17 Trillion.
