Venezuela people eating their own pets

Making a profit is not a crime, asshole. Only a Marxist traitor would make such a claim.

Didn't say it was...

But when someone else does all the hard work, and you get all the profit, that really does count as "Stealing" doesn't it?
They don't do all the work, and they don't put up the money. If the owners aren't necessary, then why don't the workers build their own factory?

Fair correction, they are requiring shit be stolen for redistribution.

When the poor steal, it's called crime.
When the rich steal, it's called profit
When the government steals, it's called Taxes.

Any questions?
2 out of three is not bad.
Profit, however, is not the result of theft but the result of mutually agreed upon transaction.

Another democratically elected leader of an oil-rich sovereign nation being called a dictator by the US. The CIA infiltrates, stirs up a revolution, a puppet leader is installed. This is patented regime change played out over and over going back to 1950s Iran. The only question is what will be the blowback for years to come and how much will this special op cost us.
The people of Venezuela call him a dictator, shit for brains.

There's no danger of Trump sending in troops.

Really? Then why do companies treat what they pay their CEO's and Managers as a state secret? It would seem to me that if it was a mutually agreed upon thing, then they would have complete transparency on salaries.

If you had a job and I contacted HR to inquire about your salary, I would be told to jump in the lake.
Salary information from top to bottom is confidential in most companies.

WTF does this have to do with profit?

That's exactly my point. So I have no idea what my former manager who use to take three hour lunches with his buddies made.... Or what his boss made or his boss. Or if the chick who was sleeping with the manager got a better raise than I did. because that's all confidential.

...mutually agreed upon transaction.
An agreement made under economic duress (where one party holds all the cards)...
Under Soviet rule where there was only one option for the rare pair of shoes, yes. To claim that where there are an overwhelming array of options is plainly silly.
I was coming at this from the employee-employer "transaction" (employment) angle...

Venezuela may have had a problematic socialist government but that is NOT the root of the current problems.

This is a nation with the world's largest oil reserves. Saudi Arabia has LESS oil reserves and spends far more on socialist programs and is not falling apart.

Neither nation has a credible manufacturing base and Saudi Arabia is notoriously corrupt.

It the MASSIVE corruption of the Maduro government that is causing this. MASSIVE corruption...

Agreed...

Lets point out that the Government Trump is backing down there is the Social Democratic Party...

There problem is corruption, freedom of speech...

This is not a Left v Right issue, just corrupt gangsters v the people...

What would socialism be without having to immediately defend itself against the world? No one knows
Socialism exists in Europe BECAUSE we subsidize them. They have not really had to pay their way.

You clueless idiot... Where is the "subsidize"?

Europe have a military which could easily handle Russia.

US has bases in Europe for there own strategic reasons...

In socialism people always eat their own. Such is the nature of a pact with the devil.

Yeah, especially when they are the subject of sanctions and embargoes...

Of course, Venezuela kind of sucked before the Socialists took over, which is why they did.

Venezuela, a country built on top of the great oil reserve "sucks".

Yes it does suck, because of socialism. It tells us everything we need to know that you are defending this fiasco.

No, it kind of sucked before socialism, because even when oil prices were height, the people didn't really see the benefits...

Which is why they voted the Socialists in.

Sorry you don't get that....

They spend FAAAAAR less than they would otherwise have to without our nuclear presence.

Why not? Why not have a collective fund to sponsor workers, who will run the factory as a democracy?

OH MY GOD COMMUNISM EEEK. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO, RICH PERSON!!!
IF the workers want to take up a fund, nothing is stopping them. However, the factory if private property. If they don't like how it's run, then they can get the fuck out. Like I said, if the capitalists aren't necessary, then let the workers start their own factory. You just dodged the question by suggesting that the workers can expropriate private property.
