5. Genetic analysis indicates that zoonotic jumps, that is animals infecting humans, stopped around mid-December, before the market was closed on Jan 1st. That means the animals that were infecting humans were gone before the market was closed i.e. the source of the outbreak ended up in people’s cooking pots.
