The way to get wage rate competition is to have a roaring economy where there is very little unemployment.A little wage rate competition would be a good thing! Here's to hoping that upward pressure on wage rates makes it's way to the professional ranks as well. Maybe we'll elect some people that will end H1b visas.

Except, it seems, for the bottom rung where the federal gov't fiddles. The thing is, many bottom union job rates are based on the min wage (min wage +) and other union wages are then based on those bottom job rates. Unions are busting for higher federally mandated minimum because it would up the entire union scale. True story.
