Zone1 Was The Garden Of Eden A Real Place?

Okay.

So why are you resisting scientific theories? Do you think your god isn't capable of evolution? There is no conflict.
I agree there is no conflict God could have made man and also allowed man to develop by evolution. Cain married someone after he murdered able. But claiming the Bible says the earth is 6 thousand years old is a bald-faced lie.

Okay. Not sure if "lie" is the right word. It's a pile of vague, magical stuff. The problem with that is that there is no way to tell who is right and who is wrong.

Surada claims to be Christian yet doesn't believe the Bible at all.
This fragment of a clay tablet narrates in 17 lines of cuneiform inscription the origin of Sargon and recounts how as a baby he was found in a basket floating in a river. Sargon reigned from 2334-2279 BCE. From the library of Ashurbanipal at Nineveh (modern Ninawa Governorate, Iraq), northern Mesopotamia. Neo-Assyrian period, 7th century BCE.

Concerning the age of the Earth, the Bible's genealogical records combined with the Genesis 1 account of creation are used to estimate an age for the Earth and universe of about 6000 years, with a bit of uncertainty on the completeness of the genealogical records, allowing for a few thousand years more.

A Christian Physicist Examines the Age of the Earth

The reading "son of Aminadab, son of Aram", from the Old Testament is well attested. The Nestle-Aland critical edition, considered the best authority by most modern scholars, accepts the variant "son of Aminadab, son of Admin, son of Arni", counting the 76 generations from Adam rather than God

Adam was created on day 6, so there were five days before him. If we add up the dates from Adam to Abraham, we get about 2,000 years, using the Masoretic Hebrew text of Genesis 5 and 11.3 Whether Christian or secular, most scholars would agree that Abraham lived about 2,000 B.C. (4,000 years ago).

So a simple calculation is:

5 days
  • ~2,000 years
  • ~4,000 years

~6,000 years

At this point, the first five days are negligible. Quite a few people have done this calculation using the Masoretic text (which is what most English translations are based on) and with careful attention to the biblical details, they have arrived at the same time frame of about 6,000 years, or about 4000 B.C.

again you are no Christian. The bible does not claim any such thing.

Do you still take the Bible literally?

As I pointed out a day to God is not known by man.

You're so stupid. Do you believe God created the heavens and earth? He set up our planet to take 365 days to revolve around the sun. 24 hours for earth to turn on it's access.

You aren't a Bronze Age shepherd.. Didn't you take general science in the 7th grade?

The Bible teaches the earth is 6000 years old. ... because it's written for primitive illiterates.

again unbeliever Gods 7 days are not normal days.

Did God change the orbit of the earth? Did he change the rotation of the earth?

You're an ignorant man. You don't know the difference between didactic literature and science. You're a Trump worshipper

you are not a Christian, you don't even believe the Bible and you sure don't believe what it teaches.

you don't believe it and you have previously said none of it is true, so that means you don't believe Jesus came to earth and died and was resurrected.

Do you believe in Pecos Bill?

There's a message in the creation story.

If you don't believe Jesus was sent and crucified and resurrected then you are not IN FACT a Christian, if your church doesn't believe then it is not a Christian Church.

I believe in Jesus. What does that have to do with the myths borrowed from Sumer, Egypt, Dilmun and Ras Shamra? Isn't the message of the Christ enough? The stories illustrate a truth. They are not history.
