Were the assassinations of R.F.K, and J.F.K ultimately good things?

Both were in the pockets of the labor unions, and both had increasingly socialist tendencies. One such example would be R.F.K throwing his support to radical Cesar Chavez in his immoral fight against the free market.

Did their assassinations stop catastrophic presidencies?

Seeing what an asshole Ted Kennedy was and what assholes all living Kennedy's are, YEAH, it was a good thing.

NO.

Some think that they were killed because they were waging a successful war against the Mafia so your premise seems a bit off.

no. because you wouldn't be brainwashed to think unions were a bad thing if the world hadn't been turned upside down.

but keep voting against your own interests. it's all good.

Thinking the assassination of a sitting US President and his brother were a good thing. Amazing.
Most people, even they may if they thought it was a good thing aren't stupid enough to admit it.

No.

JFK - in particular - was beginning to rebel against the establishment towards the latter end of his Presidency. One example is that he was making moves to eventually disband the Federal Reserve, which is arguably one of the most centralizing "governmental" institutions in existence today. I believe JFK - at the core - was a good person and his independent thinking was what ultimately got him killed.

And who was the alternative? LBJ? Nixon?

With all due respect (and I'm not referring to JFK or RFK on this), but if a man is about to cause great harm to society and the world - perhaps begin or perpetuate a war that would kill tens of thousands - you still would hold that opinion?

Hitler was elected democratically and everyone loved him at first, remember that.

J.F.K was sympathetic to the enemies of America, and gave FAR too much support to the labor & civil rights movements. Nixon had proven later that he was too left wing for America as well. A Barry Goldwater presidency would have been the best outcome.

You only have to look at the socialists Robert Kennedy, and Ted Kennedy to look at the mess that would have been J.F.K's presidency.

I could agree with you in regards to someone like Hitler, but that wasn't the case, was it? JFK took us to the brink with the USSR with the Cuban Missile Crisis and the USSR blinked. That was good.
The Bay of Pigs on the other hand, was a fiasco.

Holy toledo. I can't breathe. Bobby if he had not been assassinated and no one tell me that bastard wasn't a hit man He would have changed the world.

Thing is, the OP is was the assassination a "good thing". I say no, because Kennedy was arguably better than any of the (reasonable) alternatives at the time. I agree with your Barry Goldwater comment but the fact of the matter is that he would have never been allowed to make it to the office of the Presidency.

I'd take JFK over LBJ any day.

It is incredible how little thought people put into what they write.

Good for who?

The Rabid Right Wingers (Fascist of course, just like today) at the time were very happy.

OP- NO WAY, HORRIBLE. JFK would have ended Vietnam, RFK would have stomped Nixon, the 2 worst things that ever happened to the USA since the Civil War....
