George Will is one of the truly fine voices of the conservative media, who does not pull punches when it comes to shit birds like Trump and the politicians who think they can corral them.

Will: What does Ryan gain by backing Trump?

The Caligulan malice with which Donald Trump administered Paul Ryan's degradation is an object lesson in the price of abject capitulation to power. This episode should be studied as a clinical case of a particular Washington myopia — the ability of career politicians to convince themselves that they and their agendas are of supreme importance.

The pornographic politics of Trump's presidential campaign, which was preceded by decades of ignorant bile (about Barack Obama's birth certificate and much else), have not exhausted Trump's eagerness to plumb new depths of destructiveness. Herewith the remarkably brief timeline of the breaking of Ryan to Trump's saddle.

Good question, George Will. Leave it to a baseball fan to see through the bullshit.

Not to exude excessive alliteration, but "pornographic politics" is perfect as a description of Rump's reckless rhetoric. "Impetuous, vicious, ignorant and anti-constitutional man" isn't bad either, except for the last word that implies an "adult".

This is Paul Ryan's way of getting that Chris Christie feeling without actually standing behind trump.

I think Rump only did that photo-op so he could look less fat for once.

I liked the "Caligulan malice" nametag. I've been looking for a way to describe his nearly psychotic responses to any criticism. Will found the perfect appellation.
