If it's confusing to hetersexuals, I can imagine what it does to the mindset of those "in the wrong body" or "attracted to the same sex" or "not attracted to the same sex" but think they will be happy with a different body.

Two very good friends of mine are gay. A couple. Both drag queens. When I asked them why they "tucked" instead of removing the offending organ, they both gasped and said HAYELL NO! I said it was confusing for me to understand and they said "don't feel lonely, hon". lol

Drag queens do not think they are women. Drag is an over the top persona. RuPaul doesn't wear women's clothing in his daily life. Drag is a costume. They are guys. Gay guys but guys non the less.

I'm just thankful i haven't had to deal with such a thing. I read in the past year or so that Megan Fox... the actress....allows one of her sons... he was eight at the time to dress as a girl...a princess if i remember correctly and she complained that he was bullied by other children. Children instinctively know weird or crazy and they react as children do.

It's unbelievable so many people in the medical and mental health field support telling people their bodies are broken. The statistics on people having extreme cosmetic surgery are the majority are still unhappy with the results.

Really depends on the child.
BUT
I would not send him to school in girls' clothes.
Kids are cruel and his/her path will be tough enough without peer abuse
I would ask they avoid discussing the matter outside the family and counsellors. Again, same reason.
Then I would be supportive, not judgmental and wait for them to find their path.
When my daughter was 12 she wore "earl" shirts and planned on being a bull.
I said nothing.
Today she is shacked up with some idiot too cowardly to look me in the face and even tell me his name.
