What legal standing does Barr have to NOT release Mueller's report to Congress?

What -is- his job, and where does the law state this?
And you have proof of this??

Congress is entitled to the full report.

Don’t Wait For a Redacted Mueller Report
You can say that, but unless you have a law stating so, not so much.
The law clearly states congress can subpoena it. That is not the same as saying they can release it to the public.

We both know that whatever the democrats get will be released, one way or another.

That's nice, but you notice that this is not 1974, and this Congress most certainly is not that one, right? I don't think it's reasonable for anyone to assume these grandstanding media whores can be trusted to respect the law and keep confidential information confidential.

Also, there's a big difference between "6(e) is no bar" and "They're entitled to see it." Given the big differences in the two time periods, the two situations, and the players therein, I say if they want more than the redacted version specified in 6(e) to continue the fishing expedition for their vendetta, they can damned well go to court and try to make a compelling case for it.

No, the JUDICIAL DECISION says they can. The fact that you law-flouting leftist asshats can't tell the difference is one of the many wedges you have driven into this country to split it apart.

I guess Republicans don't want to win the Senate next year. :dunno:

I guess Democrats don't even try to hide that they consider winning more important than the law.

Congress cannot force the AG to break the law .
While they actually can, they won't. They will ask for it to be released to them unredacted, but not to the publiic.
Exactly. In fact the ONLY item of the four that Barr says he wants to use to whitewash the Report that has standing is the Grand Jury report. Even that can be released TO CONGRESS upon a court order.

Neither Congress nor a court can force the AG to break the law.

Well.....Well.....Well. From MarketWatch - NOT a Liberal Rag.

Mueller Investigator Reportedly Say Findings Are More Damaging To Trump Than Barr Has Let On.

The conclusions of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation are more damaging to President Donald Trump than Attorney General William Barr has revealed, the New York Times reported late Wednesday. The Times said some investigators who were part of the probe are frustrated that Barr has undersold the findings, which may be creating a misleading narrative that could be hard to overcome if and when the full report is released. The sources did not specify how they believe the report is more damaging to Trump. The investigators told the Times that they had written numerous summaries of their main conclusions, which were not included in Barr's summary of the report. Barr said the report found no collusion between Trump and Russia, but did not exonerate Trump on the issue of obstruction of justice. House Democrats have pressed Barr to release the full report, but Barr claims parts of it needs to be redacted first for security reasons.

Yes, a NON-BINDING RESOLUTION URGING the release of the Muller report.

Earlier, the House passed a nonbinding resolution, with a vote of 420-0, urging for the public release of "any report" Mueller provides to Attorney General William Barr, except the portions "expressly prohibited by law." And they insisted that Congress should receive the whole thing.
