But they are just as much to blame for their plight as anyone else. Choosing horrible role models like Farrakhan or Sharpton is not the way to go. A culture that considers staying in school to be stupid and fathering a lot of children by different mothers as admirable needs a serious overhaul.

Their best leaders get shot. Sharpton and Farrakhan and Jackson are still around because they aren't effective.

1)I was told that I had to WORK HARDER to succeed in a country that had a history and present of discriminating against Black people. It was about PERSONAL and INDIVIDUAL excellence and responsibility, nothing was said about "the Government" helping me at all. That was told to me by White and Black relatives of mine who were............DEMOCRATS.
Government intervention WAS necessary to Liberate Black people and all people in this country (see slavery, jim crow, de jure and de facto discrimination). What was so bad about guaranteeing the rights of Our citizens?
