I often hear conservatives try to mock and shame black voters by calling them slaves and saying their are on a Democrat plantation because they vote majority Democrat.
It's a silly argument however, because the claim is that blacks trade their votes to be able to sit home and collect government checks and watch TV -- which I guess according to Republicans -- is exactly what slaves did on plantations -- it actually minimizes the horrors and abuses of ACTUAL slavery and it is a slap in the face to all of the good people (black and white) who shed blood to end slavery -- especially when you consider that it was progressive Republicans who led the charge to end it.
You gain nothing by telling over 90% of black people that they are slaves. I know that such a sentiment goes over great at the local Republican committee meetings, but it has proven to be a deal killer for most black people -- even when you get other black people (Jesse Lee Peterson, Candace Owens, Herman Cain) to call them slaves, it doesn't make it better.
However, it makes me wonder -- the Jewish vote for well over 60 years have overwhelmingly been for Democrats (almost 80%) -- but for some reason, I never hear Jews being mocked and attacked for their support in the same way blacks are attacked -- You never hear the GOP saying that Jews are in Democrat concentration camps because of their support for Democrats. Why?
If you feel this is a winning strategy for black voters, why wouldn't this be a winning strategy for Jewish voters? Unless the GOP has just as little respect for black people as they claim the Democrats do.
