'The mob mentality is irresistible to people with a desperate need to be popular, and are perennially afraid of getting a bloody nose on the playground of life. A tell-tale sign is the use of terms like “us” and “we” when they write, or speak…as these pronouns speak of popularity, of membership in the larger group…i.e. the mob.'
Ann forgot to mention it as being a means of getting attention as well as being a way of feeling that one belongs to something for people who otherwise get no attention in the real world and belong to nothing meaningful and constructive. Such people develop a vitriolic self-image of hatred towards themselves in the subconscious which in order to protect their ego, they direct outward at others, so when they despise others, other parties or ideology, they are really trying to avoid despising themselves.
Sort of like this.....
"People desperate for a badge of identity are highly susceptible to groupthink, in fierce need of a ‘guide,’ and, so, the “foolish, ignorant, and envious persons are freed from the sense of their insignificance and powerlessness.”
Le Bon, “The Crowd: A Study of The Popular Mind,” p.22.
No kidding, there is a reason that billionaire's don't hang with homeless people..'The mob mentality is irresistible to people with a desperate need to be popular, and are perennially afraid of getting a bloody nose on the playground of life. When the thread was started..Back to the thread, When did liberalism become fascism?
Conservatives have used communists as the bad guys for years now, and it seems they recently changed the bad guys from communists to fascists, and I wonder if the change was based on Trump's Russian connections?
When trolls got 'puters.Back to the thread, When did liberalism become fascism?
Powers was raised as an Episcopalian but spent much of her early adult life as an atheist. In her mid-30s, she became an evangelical Christian. The process of conversion began when she dated a religious Christian man, who introduced her to the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and the teachings of its pastor, Tim Keller, and culminated in an experience in 2006 when, during a trip to Taiwan, she believes that she was visited by Jesus after waking up in the middle of the night.[5]
Uh, with all due respect, that's called dreaming.
Back to the thread, When did liberalism become fascism?
All the time, money and effort conservatives spent to convince people that liberalism is communism. Now it sounds like that campaign didn't work, so a new campaign begins: "liberalism is fascism". Wonder if fascism works any better?
Liberalism, communism, fascism.....differences without distinctions.
Your education continues:
In this classroom, we begin by explaining terms.
a. Liberal and Progressive and Democrat are used interchangeably in general parlance...And a 2012 Gallup poll found that 53 percent of Democrats and 39 percent of Americans more generally had a positive reaction to the word socialism.
Democrats, Republicans Diverge on Capitalism, Federal Gov't
Q.E.D.....Liberals are admitted socialists.
b. Even Marx admitted that true communism could not come about without revolution. So the statement -- "A communist is a socialist with a gun" can be accepted as a truism.
So....Liberals, Progressives, Socialists = Communists.
c. Nazis, falsely called Rightwing, are National Socialists....hence, Leftwing.
So....So....Liberals, Progressives, Communists, Socialists = Nazis.
d. Since Fascists and Nazis were allies, and basically the same....
...Liberals, Progressives, Communists, Socialists, Democrats.....and Fascists...peas in the same pod.
Any questions?
You're an idiot, and an idiot will believe anything they read on the internet, no matter how stupid.
So you're saying that America was started by socialists and will become fascist.Back to the thread, When did liberalism become fascism?
That is easy. Liberalism is a subset of socialism, the idea of community, that it takes a town to raise a child and the wants of the many outweigh the needs of the few, and since socialism never works very well for very long because it breaks down as soon as they run out of other people's money (socialists never produce anything), it eventually collapses to be replaced by an active oligarchy, ie.: fascists. Fascists will leave you alone so long as you do what they tell you and pay them money.
Kinda like being a dhimmi under a Muslim society!
Perfect description of Trump's fanatic base.
So you're saying that America was started by socialists and will become fascist.
Well how about this: America was started by liberals? So you're saying that America was started by socialists and will become fascist.
Ahh, No.
No cigar for you.
