When republicans complain about single moms getting food stamps, why don’t they consider the well-being of the child?

Republicans take a longer view of poverty than libs

The left just wants to uncritically wipe every nose wherever they find them

Conservatives consider the circumstances and what the poor can do to improve their own condition

Many seniors get food stamps..

its going to get worse. Leftie states like CA are mandating zero emission vehicles in about ten years. Other states will follow suit and car manufacturers are already moving towards complying. Guess who controls, monitors, and distributes the electricity that’s going to power your only mode of transportation? Yup, the govt. All of this will tie together, ie the tech companies, IRS, FBI, energy, farming / our food supply etc. and soon we’ll be like China. They can shut you down in an instant.

How do I break it to you. The State/Feds don't build the pipelines, cables, power cables, etc but after they are built, they own them and the "So Called" Power Companies have to pay to use them. Same goes for the Railroad. When a company gets out of hand, the Gov can kick them out and allow another one to take over. This prevents you Fascist Capitalists from hold the rest of us hostage.

? They don't own the pipelines. What are you smoking?

Sorry to bust your bubble. They act like they do but after the pipelines are built, they no longer own them. They do have to maintain them but the actual ownership is by the government. But you keep listening to your handler. They know, they know.

Republican concern for “the children” ends at birth
It’s already very illegal to murder born children, moron.

That’s the concern - it should be very illegal to attack and kill innocent human beings, born or unborn alike.

Coerced charity at the taxpayer expense shouldn’t be given out to anyone.

But go ahead and do the talking point bullshit that confirms you to be a mindless parrot with no critical thinking.

Single moms having kids they can’t afford is an easy target. It makes a right winger feel superior by shitting on such a woman. It makes it easy to rail against the idea of food stamps altogether. Such a person judging feels superior because they aren’t on food stamps and have a full time job in comparison. Somebody should probably tell them that it is very common for anyone to have a full time job and not be on food stamps lol. Such people judging aren’t as special as they like to think they are. Food stamps is not the epidemic that republicans like to think it is. They simply pretend that it is because it makes them feel less insecure about themselves. The truth is that few actual able bodied adults are even on food stamps. The ones that are have dependents.

But sure, such irresponsible women do exist.

We can all agree: an impoverished woman should not have kids and she made a mistake when she had one. Okay sure. However, the kid still…. exists. What should we do with that kid? Should the kid suffer because of the mom’s mistakes? Probably not, right? Government assistance is required either way.

“SNAP targets those in greatest need. Among those participating in the program, most are children, elderly persons, or individuals with a disability. In fact, 86 percent of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, elderly person, or person with disabilities. In addition, about 92 percent of all SNAP benefits go to households with income at or below the federal poverty line.”
if you cant afford a child, why in hell are you making them??????????????? get woke idiots

I have financed oil and natural gas pipelines. You are utterly and completely wrong.

The difference between Republicans and Democrats looking at poverty.....

Democrats
- oh!... this looks like a good voting block!! So yeah... let's take money from the population and just give it to them. No questions asked, no judgement... just give it to them. Then they will depend on those handouts, and we will tell them if they don't vote for use - they won't get money anymore. Plus we get to feel good about ourselves while doing it... YAY Poor!!

Republicans - let's offer them assistance to get them out of the hole they are in. But, they have to improve themselves and join the rest of society. We won't just give you free stuff so you can get high and be lazy. So we have a plan to help you improv eyourself, free stuff for awhile, but if you don't improve yourself... you won't get it anymore. We offer opportunity, not just free stuff.

There is some truth to this observation.

The trouble is, by focusing (nearly) solely upon the longer-term view, the Pubs lose a lot of support along the way.

The Pubs take the long-term view.

The Dems are out there wiping noses in real-time.

To borrow a line from the Chicago Cubs immortal first baseman, Ernie Banks: "Let's play TWO."

In this context, let's do BOTH --- long-term viewing AND nose-wiping --- insofar as may be practicable.

There is considerable truth in the old adage: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life."

Dems (collectively) rarely seem focused on the long-term "teaching a man to fish" --- rather, they're quite content to make the man dependent upon them.

Pubs (collectively) rarely seem focused on how hungry the man is WHILE he is being taught how to fish... in this context, a matter of years, not moments.

If the Pubs ever (a) kept their long-term focus but (b) began wiping the noses and passing out fish in the short run, then (c) they'd never lose an election.

If Pubs want to regain their long-lost reputation as the Party of Lincoln... the Grand Old Party... the Party of the Common Man... then there's your roadmap.

So caring for the children you folks FORCE to be born is “ coerced charity”

Ok then…

If they can get rid of fossil fuel cars, it forces many Americans to mass transportation, another leftist dream, because only high income earners and the elite will be able to afford EV's. The average EV is $62,000, then you have to get the charging system installed which on average is another $2,000.

It is fucked in the head beyond all reason to frame punishing killing someone as forcing them to exist.

We didn’t make the kid, the parents did, and the parents should take care of their kid and not neglect them or hurt them.

But yes, making the taxpayer fund things for individual private needs is absolutely coerced charity, regardless of the recipient.

The amount of food stamps they’re getting is ridiculous. A family with with two toddlers and a baby gets $1000 a month and shops at Whole Foods. In the meantime, the lower-middle class is so overwhelmed by inflated grocery prices that they’ve been reduced to Walmart.

All part of the Marxist plan: non-productive people on Taxpayer Charity programs live as well, or even better, than the working class.
And, they keep voting Democrat.

Government assistance is the one of the most abused programs out there next to SS disabilty and
Medicare.
