I understand that. However, the current accepted usage of the term suggests that if one has black ancestors, one is considered black. It matters not to me, but it would be terribly confusing to have to distinguish between half black, one quarter black, one eighth black, etc....ad infinitum.

By the way, liberals pull the race card at the drop of a hat. It doesn't matter what race you are. If your opinion differs from their talking points on any issue involving race, you are racist. If you disagree with anything our first black president says, you are racist....simply because he is black (half black).

The Democrats fought against civil rights for blacks for decades. The Republicans pushed it through. The Democrats now relish the votes they get from claiming to be fighting for civil rights. What they are fighting for is the continuance of dependency on the government...in exchange for the votes.

Are you stupid or just a student of democrat urban schooling that altered the true history of civil rights? The GOP has never been part of the KKK. It was started by the Democrats. Look it up in a text book not used in schools today. Also, democrats in the south voted democrat for 23 years on average after civil rights laws, which the GOP made possible, went into effect.
