I will be serious for a moment - SEVERAL of my friends were VERY upset that Roy won the primary

Roy is universally disliked by "suburbanite republicans" here in Alabama because of his bombastic & unhelpful nature/attitude & his total disregard for the rule of law

the special election was a huge mistake on the part of Governor Ivey (we call her Governor MeeMaw)

this whole thing is really Bentley's fault (former repub governor who was forced out)

the only troubling accusation against Moore was the 14 year old & her story does not hold water (Moore helped her sneak out of her house knowing she was 14?)

the mall manager from the time swears Moore was never banned

the yearbook signature is an exact match from Moore's time as judge in Gadsden (all the way down to his assistants initials on the signature), and the lady who supplied the yearbook had Moore as a judge for her divorce (which discredits her story in and of itself)

YES - Moore was looking for a wife from women in an age group that was/is too young for my personal comfort level

but it wasn't uncommon at the time; he did marry one of those women (one of his accusers was an actual classmate of his current wife)

he would have won without those accusations & would have been a target for national ads (as Pelosi is for us) even without the accusations

I do hate losing that seat; but not having Roy in office and actually running for re-election during 2020 is probably a good thing for us (republicans in general)

5) The stepson is estranged from Beverly Nelson and they never got along - he has no clue whether she's lying or not
6) There is NO proof that the yearbook signature was forged. Leigh Corfman simply added a date and the diner name in printing obviously different from Roy's handwriting - she never pretended that they were added by Creepy Roy

Finally, the mall manager "doesn't recall" and the mall itself doesn't have records dating back that far. But there is this from Snopes:
