A majority of those cases were for felons.....not for those who are drug or alcohol users...I am sure you left that part out by mistake, right?Well, according to the data, 298 cases for false statements on a firearms application were referred in 2019.... suggesting Hunter Biden did no receive worse treatment.
I understood the need for Dems / Marxists to excuse the crimes of their privileged heroes but the facts are that weapons violations and tax fraud puts people in jail.
Also.....funny thing about your faux concern over restricting the right of someone owning a gun because of drug use.....Conservatives seem to love to restrict gun rights when they think the "right people" are going to be impacted by it....
"The organization's enthusiasm for enforcing federal bans on gun possession by illegal drug users and people convicted of drug-related felonies illustrates a blind spot shared by many right-leaning critics of gun control - That inconsistency is the mirror image of attitudes among progressives, who readily recognize the injustice and racially disparate impact of drug laws while enthusiastically supporting gun laws with strikingly similar historical roots and contemporary consequences. "How much the NRA cares about your legal right to own a gun is directly related to the color of your skin," Weatherspoon wrote."

The drug exception to the second amendment
Conservatives have been slow to recognize the threat that drug prohibition poses to gun rights and other civil liberties.

It is also funny how the current "CONSERVATIVE" Supreme Court may have given Hunter a good legal defense against that gun charge anyway....I notice you left that part out too....so I will educate you....
"Hunter Biden might use a new legal defense stemming from a ruling passed by the six-justice conservative majority in the Supreme Court in the past that pertains to gun ownership rights under the Second Amendment. Other courts began to question the ban on drug users owning guns following the SCOTUS ruling. That same year, Utah federal district judge Jill Parrish ruled that the ban was unconstitutionalbecause it lacks clarity in defining the word "user." Parrish's ruling was based on the Fifth Amendment not the Second Amendment, but still, the Buren case strengthened challenges made against the drug users' gun ownership ban."

Conservative SCOTUS judges gave Hunter Biden a new legal defense
Federal law bans drug users from owning guns, but Hunter Biden's lawyers said if he faces gun crime charges, they will use the Second Amendment in defense.

How pissed would you right-wingers have been if Hunter took that case to trial and had it thrown out behind that 2022 decision....but I guess either way, you would be pissed....sad....
