Actually as a student of American history I'd disagree totally with you on that, Tiger! The strength of America has always been it's ability to assimilate new cultures. America wasn't called a "melting pot" because of it's "deep rooted divisions"...it was called that because this was a country that was accepting of others like no other country on earth.

That was the idea anyway. It didn't really work out that way some of the time though. It seems like immigrants were always kind of treated like crap up until just recently.
