America would be better if Jim was Speaker instead of a "kick the can" type.
The DC whores are all used to borrowing too much money, when the US economy crashes there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We know.

Mar 3, 2023 — Under the Trump administration, the U.S. saw a nearly $7.8 trillion rise in the country's national debt, according to The Washington Post.

Republicans have shown they can’t act as an organized, rational party

Herding cats

Doesnt matter who the speaker is

How do you find 5 Republicans who agree on anything?
White evangelicals who venerate the sexual abuser can easily find scriptural revelation to explain the non-functional GOP Outhouse of Representatives:

Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as they migrated from the east, they came upon a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and fire them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves; otherwise we shall be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." The LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which mortals had built. And the LORD said, "Look, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do; nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language there, so that they will not understand one another’s speech."

So what is irrational about fighting over the Budget?
Should the Budget be cut or keep borrowing $2T a year?
Its a very serious battle.
Irresponsible Republicans and Democrats want to keep spending and borrowing.

You left out the best parts:

Sexual abuser? How about showering with your daughter?

Biden won. Sore losers still can't handle it.
No Moon Bat you are wrong, as usual.

Trump won the Electoral College delegates. The goddamn Democrats stole the delegates by using the Pandemic as a cover to create fraudulent mail in and harvested ballots in Democrat controlled swing districts, depriving Trump of the delegates resulting in an illegitimate President. We call that illegitimate President "Mr. Potatohead".

Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.

Why don’t they pass a budget instead of threatening debt default and shutting down the government

Why don’t Republicans talk about the debt when a Republican is President

Then why is it Republicans indicted for trying to steal the election?

Who should Republicans elect as the next Speaker of the House?

A "temp" placeholder to get a few things passed?

Or a real Speaker with a vision for America? I like Newt.

McCarthy should be speaker because all but eight Republicans in the House want McCarthy as speaker. Matt Gaetz and his rebel group of eight have so angered the others that they--childishly perhaps--are unlikely to support anybody those eight promote and McCarthy himself is tired of the shenanigans and won't promote himself.

Newt is a strong McCarthy supporter and praised him as highly effective as Speaker.

At this point I say lock all the House Republicans in a smallish room with no heat, no a/c, no food, no water, no bathroom until they agree on a speaker. Whomever it is could not possibly be worse than what they are doing now.

Yes, Republicans are inclusive of many different ideas but with Democrats you either tow the Borg Collective line or you are cast out.
RINO anyone?

Problem is
Republicans won’t compromise, even in their own party

Makes it impossible to Govern

We don't need both sides being a Borg Collective. Democrats should be allowed to think for themselves. They are not. They are told what to believe and how to vote.

Nancy Pelosi knew how to govern
She would work out their differences behind closed doors.

Republicans are like small children. Unwilling to compromise and preferring chaos to consensus

That's true, and not to detract from the enjoyment seeing the sheer clusterfk by a bunch of bullies, cowards, insurrectionists, and flat out fktards .... but I read somewhere that there really are two parties within the gop. But I'm really not sure there's a maj in the gop house that really wants to find a solution THAT CAN PASS IN THE SENATE to soc sec, medicare, medicaid. It may be that a maj vote from only gopers would just be to shut down all of govt. That's what Trump asked them to do ... shut down the trials.

Your alternate reality humors you, apparently. You may wish to stay there. This one is not accepting of your fantasy.
