John Kerry could have been President. He wanted to end War in Iraq which I think was popular at the time pre-surge but he never offered the right more of a reason to vote for him.

i'd view him as the poster child of it, sure. but i also view it more like a perfect storm of events to get to where we are today. any 1 set of events or views on their own in a time when information moved "slower" and we may see something different.

it's not like any of the complaints from the left or "social justice warriors" of any time are saying anything new.
