One reason they decided to charge Trump in Florida rather than DC was several cases in DC over the years of controlling case law that the Trump legal team could rely on.

But even a higher court controlling in DC, while informing in another Federal jurisdiction, isn't controlling.

One such controlling case in DC:

It’s all about political calculation in politically partisan corrupt DOJ decision-making.

A few reasons.

The Southern District of Florida is one of the largest offices in the country. They have a lot of personnel, a lot of lawyers, a lot of resources.

Florida is where he was a ex-president keeping government documents. In DC there was a chance of muddled legality.

Venue is where the crimes are committed. That would be Florida.

Less grounds for appeal.

Florida is a red state. Less chance of whining about being prosecuted in a state that "hates Trump".

Zzz. There was no crime. But the apparently alleged “crime” was committed in DC as well as Florida, if you want to go there, you pontificating moron.

Should this get thrown out in Florida, Dems can complain that it was a red state that let Trump walk. Can't do that if it gets tossed in DC. Seems like they're possibly already setting up excuses.

Again, for the Shitty Lawyer:

When Trump is also charged in Georgia, he'll save money on jet fuel flying back & forth attending hearings.

Will his ass taste better to you thru an orange jumpsuit?

What Federal prison is closest to MAL?

May be they decided on Florida to bring the charges against Trump because DeSantis the Governor there, is running for President against Trump. :dunno:

so.....things have changed now

You know what I mean....oh well....politics is a dirty game.
