Yeah Obama is responsible for the rapid cost reductions in Information and Communications technology that have been going on over the last 20 or so years.

Some things are better today and other things are worse. Some things were better years ago and some things were worse back then. It all depends on what you're looking at.

For instance years ago, wives stayed home and raised the children. People didn't have as much money back then because most were one income families, but what they lost in money they gained in family values.

Today, women pop out kids and toss them over to the daycare center on the way to work. Families eat fast food way more often today than years ago and quality family time diminished greatly.

So it all depends on what you're looking at and how you're looking at it.

At least in my father's day and for a little while during my own early years, a handshake meant something. Today, you better have a lawyer draw up any agreement you enter into.

Sounds like my father. He said that when he started in business you worked hard, took care of your people, made a little money and went home. By the 90s it was all about attorneys and bureaucrats. When it came to politics he would listen to the left and shake his head and say "when did we become the enemy?".

He was misinformed, like most good Republicans...Now it's about lobbyists and big money and loopholes. Thanks GOP.

Maybe at the top. The vast majority of businesses in this country wouldn't know a lobbyist if they stepped on one, have never seen big money, and could never climb high enough to get to a loop hole. It's the same thing I always hear from the left, Google has tons of money so the guy running Joes Muffler Shop must be sitting on a boatload of cash. Hate wall street, hammer main street.

I'm all for it. Of course you do realize the dems blocked a 20% small business tax proposal from the repubs 3 years ago. I'm also not sure of the effect of proposed increases in capital gains. They could negatively offset the lower base rate.

That doesn't change my opinion of the left being a major pain in my small business butt for the last 28 yrs.

It seems they have complete memory of the George Bush years and everything that happened back then but have total memory lapse of the seven years of the Obama Administration.
