The credit downgrade occurred because of the brinksmanship and dysfunction in the US government and not because of fiscal irresponsibility.

The Republicans are prepared to destroy the US economy in order to ensure that they take back the White House. Their stated goal was to limit Obama to one term and when that didn't work, their goal has been to stop the ACA. They have refused to do anything to help the recovery in hopes of retaking the Senate next year and White House in 2016.

if you work a job your employer deducts a percentage from your check each pay period the totals it up for each month ... every quarterly your employer send into the IRS, on your behalf, how much money is deducted from your check ... they send everything ... your taxes are based on your income and you approved wright offs ... say if you paid in 6500 dollars anything you get back from the IRS is what you over paid ...so if the IRS tell you you must pay them 6000 dollars in taxes and you have 6500 dollars paid in to the IRS, you get back 500 dollars back, that you over paid ... so again please explain to us all here how that's not paying taxes ... I love to hear your answer ...

second you say federal spending (Budget deficit) is soaring ... I would say you are wrong ... as of this physical year September 2012 to September 2013 under Obama the budget deficit, that's what we are talking about, was 700 billion dollars ... now to say he has done nothing that would be a lie on your part ... federal spending (the budget deficit) that's what we are taking about here, from September 2011 to September 2012 was 1.3 trillion dollars of the budget deficit ... anyone with any kind of ability with adding a subtracting abilities can see that we pain 600 billion dollars less then they did the previous spending year... so this out of control spending you talk about seems that the Dem's are trying to put controls on it.. something again you assumed thats not happening ...

the taxes that the rich pay is at a fair rate ....something that Bush removed ... that's one of many reason we are in the mess we are in now because of these tax cut from the bush administration ...
