Why the right fights

If the market controlled agriculture, farms would lie fallow when they couldn't sell their crops. this is EXACTLY what occurred during the Great Depression, where dairy farmers dumped hundreds of gallons of milk because no one had the money to buy it.

In fact, if as much as you guys whine about "Socialism", agriculture is pretty much entirely socialist in this country, and it works.

Now the government buys it up to make sure no farmer ever has to sell it for less than a price set in the 1930s, which makes it more expensive for everyone, especially poor people. Somehow you think that is better.

Higher prices work for you, as long as they are caused by the government.

Um. Yeah. If you let the prices fluctuate, then farmers would lose money growing food.

Dumbass.

Have you ever been a farmer before?

Dumbass

No, but I have an uncle who was... and frankly, our agriculture wouldn't work without government subsidies, tax breaks and price supports.

Shit, we've got an agriculture department that has 1 bureaucrat for every 7 farmers. And even Republicans like it that way. While they were all keen to cut food stamps, they made damned sure the farmers got THEIR corporate Welfare.

Are you really that stupid? Well, we all know the answer there.

So I'm unclear here: Are you against big government or for it?

You're unclear on a lot of things... because you are such a tool.

I'm for SMART government, which Republicans used to be for, before the Teabaggers, gun nuts and religous whakjobs took it over.

That had to hurt.

They fight now cause they lost the ACA vote.

and they keep losing the vote to repeal it.

they're acting like little crybabies.

Speaking of delusional.....

You say you want less government and more freedom but that is laughable. First of all you you are NOT "conservatives". You are classic "Neo-Conservatives".

You preach smaller government and more freedom but then turn around and say you want government to tell women and their doctors what to do with their bodies, tell two people they cannot marry, tell doctors how they treat patients who are brain dead, tell people they cannot use marijuana to treat cancer symptoms and tell people they cannot die with dignity.

Face it. You're a liar. You REALLY don't want less government. You want a government that tells people how to live their private lives.

Shame on you.

.

Right, unlike what we have now, who tells you what light bulbs you can buy or how your shitter has to operate and how your appliances have to be designed? Come on commie tell me how this is better.

I'm talking about how people are prevented from getting married, dying with dignity and getting treated for cancer symptons and you want to talk about light bulbs?

You and Quantum Windbag have absolutely no clue. You say you want less government interference in our private lives then turn around and want the government to interfere in people's private lives.

So are you guys delusional or liars? It has to be one or the other.

And in either case how hypocritical can you get?

.

.

People are prevented from dying? How the fuck did I accomplish that?

The problem here isn't me, it is your response to the things you think I want.

Oh my God!!!

We cannot risk the possibility that huge corporations might lose money, lets buy up their products even if it means making it impossible for poor people to buy milk. Then we can use a taxpayer slush fund to sell make propaganda about the fake science behind drinking milk to sell it to rich people. Then, just to show ho wonderful we are, we won't let anyone buy raw milk, even if they want to.

Yet, for some reason, I am crazy because I don't understand why you hate poor people.

Frankly, it would work better.

Let me guess, smart government means government you like.

No, you are crazy because you don't take your meds like the nice doctor told you to.

I mean, I'm not even sure what your point was, here. If you even had one.

We don't let people buy raw milk because raw milk is unhealthy. That's why it has to be PASTUERIZED' (Hey, Louis Pastuer...look him up some time.)

My point is you support corporate welfare.

I support that certain industries need to be subsidized and regulated for the common good.

And so did the REpublican Party, at one point. Their major disagreement with Democrats was what the most effective way of doing that was.

Now they've taken up with the Ayn Rand crazy that we don't need government, because Free Market Superheroes will save the day.

Why the right fights

Currently there are approximately 50 million Americans without health insurance - and the Republicans/Tea Party are doing everything in their power to ensure that it remains that way!

the GOP fights to protect their masters' franchises and monopolies from real competition.

EXACTLY like the so called left does for their masters.

Partisans who are NOT on either of those gravy trains are bloody FOOLS!

That was worth a chuckle.

A more interesting and relevant thread would ask the question: why does the right continue to adhere blindly to failed political dogma?

Is it ignorance, fear, stupidity, greed, arrogance, pride?

Are they just too stubborn to admit they’re wrong?

Do conservatives simply have an ‘extra helping’ of the dark side of being human?

Are their shoes too tight, their heads not screwed on right, or are their hearts two sizes too small?

Is it how their brains are wired? Some sort of chemical or hormonal imbalance? A birth defect?

All of the above?

Americans at least should know why they’re forced to suffer the affliction known as conservatism.
