Zone1 Why was Jesus crucified?

This is in response to the thread about why Jews reject Jesus as Messiah

Answer this question and you get your answer to the other thread.

After all, the rejection of Jesus by the Jewish leaders of the time of Jesus is why he was rejected by Jews today.
Christ knew he was born to die for all people who believe in God through the Word. That is why he is called the Lamb of God. He is the sacrifice for our sins, and we don't have to turn churches and synagogues to be a storage of sacrificial animals to be sold in God's house. Belief is the key that closes the gates of Hell. Believers no longer have to worry about entering the gates of Hell. Belief in God's salvation through the sinless Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Holy is the Father God of mankind who understand the words of Christ. Your belief in the word makes you well and safe. Read the Word if you haven't already. It's your choice to accept or reject the Word, but read it. I shall rejoice if you attend a revival service after you understand the new covenant and realize that only God wants people to believe in his son's telling of his word so much so that he came to be called the living Word. If you agree in his words, and follow them, you will know who God is by his love for you in giving his only son as your sacrifice that makes you worthy for Heaven by the works he inspires you to freely give to your fellow human beings. God's judgments of granting you membership in the Kingdom of God, the gifts of joy and his loving care through his son's sacrifice for you and other believers is by his Grace is the key to God's Kingdom of Heaven for eternity.

"and we don't have to turn churches and synagogues to be a storage of sacrificial animals to be sold in God's house" From where did this tidbit of church BULLSHIT arise?

These lunatics like to rewrite history.
He is the sacrifice for our sins ...

- just those in the 4th century who madeup the sacrifice for other peoples sins story ...

than what was truly their mission - to teach how not to sin through liberation theology, self determination to sin no more as the means for judgement when accomplished by the individual themselves, as the goal for remission to the everlasting.

Not only is the pregnancy legal---there is no stigma on the child either.

sure ...

not a problem ... its perfectly legal. and the child is just like all the others.

for those who lack a liberal education----and did not read a bit in ANTHROPOLOGY, a dilemma
facing communities of the past was PROTEIN FOODS. CUSTOMS regarding protein
foods are fascinating since they depend on ANIMAL HUSBANDRY ---or hunting ---LAND
AND SKILL. SPECIAL customs regarding PROTEIN foods are not confined to
Judaism and are actually the basis of ANIMAL SACRIFICE as a religious observance
or other religious strictures. In ancient India -----the producer of the major protein
food ----WAS THE COW-----as in holy cow. In Jewish culture, hunting animals was
proscribed as a pagan activity. The major protein food depended on AGRICULTURE
which depended on Land. Land was power-----to keep the clergy "honest" the
entire clergy was denied hereditary LAND-----dat's da LEVITES---descendants of the
tribe of Moses. In order for the levites to eat protein-----they depended on donated
animal protein----DAT'S DA SACRIFICES. In fact both Greece and Rome (among others)
ALSO used animal donations "sacrifices" for the distribution of protein foods. Did you
guys miss general anthropology?-----is there even one LIBERAL ARTS major amongst you?
In Roman culture temple sacrifices were a matter of CONSPICUOUS consumption---the
rich and powerful donated whole herds of animals which were then SOLD for meat
by the Temples---that's how they got POLITICAL POWER. In the Jewish system---the
meat of sacrifices were eaten only by the levites and could not be sold----that's how
their power was RESTRICTED. In India, cows are revered and MILKED---milkiing cows
is something holy and milk is THE FOOD. Lots of LIVING cows meant food for ALL.
ALL cultures in the world have PROTEIN FOOD LAWS and CUSTOMS linked to religion
food customs for survival of the community

what about him? according to the NT and even lots of english literature JOHN mikveh
man was cousin to Jesus and QUITE PUBLICALLY predicting the COMING of the messianic era, so everyone needed a bath. He was an itinerant--
out from the wilderness type guy---typical of
monastic pharisee and even ID'd as the
NEW ELIJAH-----a bane to rome

what lunatics?
You.

Idiotic. The Old Testament/Torah is full of sacrifices to atone for sin. “Those in the 4th century” didn’t make it up.

no, that is not true for sin, might offer an example for that ... they would have been murdering someone every day if they thought that would work.

what they madeup in the 4th century was at the expense of their victim - jesus knew perfectly well such an endeavor would be senseless.

All over the Old Testament. Sacrifices and offerings were a way to atone for the people’s sins.

……
Lev 16:16
He shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the impurities of the sons of Israel and because of their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and thus he shall do for the tent of meeting which abides with them in the midst of their impurities

Lev 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.

Num 16:47
Then Aaron took it as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly, for behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.

Isaiah 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

Numbers 15:22-29
‘But when you unwittingly fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the Lord has spoken to Moses, even all that the Lord has commanded you through Moses, from the day when the Lord gave commandment and onward throughout your generations, then it shall be, if it is done unintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull for a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.
Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their error. So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, with the alien who sojourns among them, for it happened to all the people through error. ‘Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering. The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him that he may be forgiven. You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the sons of Israel and for the alien who sojourns among them

It is all over the place. If you don’t understand that, then you haven’t read the Bible and you know nothing about the God of Abraham or Christianity.

The act itself does not give atonement, only God gives the atonement in return for the sacrifice.

It is fair to say the animal sacrifices were not true sacrifices, they were offerings for atonement.
The only true sacrifice was Jesus’s, a one time sacrifice for atonement for our sins. These offerings were pointing towards that future sacrifice, just as partaking in communion after Christ’s death is reliving that sacrifice in the past.

How you can equate this to “murdering someone every day” pretty much shows you are a psychopath.

So your religious believes are based on your college anthropology class?

Wow, no wonder you are nuts.
suradie agreed with Hawk's idiotic comment------for the sake of simple
logic----my understanding of Anthropology is based on my studies
thereof. I did not take a college course in Anthropology-----I have
read several learned books on the subject in the course of a liberal
undergraduate education and in my later studies of neuro-psychiatry.
Try it some time-----READ A BOOK

try again----you are having trouble with semantics---the SACRIFICE is a donation of
food to the Landless Levites (in an agrarian society) Sin is expiated via PRAYER,
REPENTENCE and CHARITY. It is true that in some cultures animal killing is a
BACHANNAL of blood letting----but not in Jewish culture----but it is in ancient
roman culture and american christian culture. Have you ever heard of the
POTLATCH? Probably not. Your ignorance is astounding, How did you do
during the last deer hunting season-----get a head to put on your living room wall?

The levites got to EAT JESUS? Is that what your jelly bean school lady told you?
Animal sacrifices fed the LANDLESS LEVITES

somehow the word "ATONEMENT" means in your mind-----killing an animal----nope--
animal sacrifice fed the landless levites ----it was something like charity. Even burning
incense turned into killing an animal ???? you are confused

Have anything to back that up?

I provided scripture, you’ve got cap lock rants.
I have a lifetime of being a jew-----occasionally reading the writings of jewish clerics and
at least a yearly visit to the synagogue---especially on THE DAY OF ATONEMENT----during
which time the PRAYER REPENTENCE AND CHARITY thing shows up incessantly---and not so
much as a mosquito SWATTED. I am a levite and I know how levites got to eat lunch---having no land in the agrarian society of the bygone days-----uhm---lamb YUMMY. What scripture---
the TESTAMENT ACCORDING to the mass
murdering slob of the FIRST REICH--
CONSTANTINE? or the Tanach which you read according to roman translation?

Take your son to the land of Moriah and kill your son there as a sacrifice for me. This must be Isaac, your only son, the one you love. Use him ...

jesus was murdered against their will - “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani" - their very words before their death.

- abraham chose instead to sacrifice for humanity an innocent lamb. and failed the heavenly command, their example. than abrahams hereditary idolatry - he chose.

a few obvious errors, bought for their sins no one believes a possible remody - otherwise nothing you presented, atonement's were sacrifices for sins ...

reading the desert bibles is at best systematic for them in error w/ understanding the heavens.
