People who can afford socialism love it. I agree however that Obama is more of an evolutionary progressive than a revolutionary one. Like other's of his ilk he will use whatever authoritarian policy serves the cause, be it fascist policy, socialist policy, or straight up oligarchic authoritarianism.

Obama is a corporate stooge. This seems to run counter to Marxism as I understand it.
You are confusing goals with methodologies. I said quite clearly he will use whichever authoritarian philosophy best achieves his goals, be it socialist, fascist or oligarchic.

All you have to do to see elements of all three is look at g'mint motors.

Socialist---transfers a parcel of ownership beyong wht they're entitled to in the company from those who rightly own it to the unions, making them the largest stockholder outside of the government.

Fascist---Partners with private corporations (if their big enough) by assuming government ownership of a sizable enough ammount of the company to be able to influence (strongly) it's direction while leaving the "decisions" up to the scapegoats.

Oligarchic---install a czar to oversee the company in who the real power to direct it is invested despite your claims of not "running the company".

I said that Obama is a corporate stooge because everything he does pushes the peoples money into the rich mans pocket. Obamacare is a huge corporate welfare scheme. There are trillions of dollars missing from the pentagon and HUD and probably other places and has he said one word? Not one. He just pumps more of our money into that system knowing that there are some rich people sucking that money.

He says nothing about the Fed, the military industrial complex, the homeland security industrial complex, the prison industrial complex which are all vacuum cleaners sucking money out of our economy.

Establishment conservatives hate Ron Paul. Period.

I think you are a bit off with that... establishment REPUBLICANS and NeoCons may have a tendency to hate Ron Paul.... I, and many conservatives like me, don't "hate" the guy... I may hate some of his stances on foreign policy, but in terms of small government stances and many others on the domestic front, we certainly don't hate Ron Paul

Will you vote for Ron Paul?

Probably not but just to alleviate your pathological fears I probably won't vote for.......
Fuck it. Why should I alleviate any of your pathological fears.

The drug addicts, homos and johns will all like Ron Paul too. He wants to legalize drugs, gay marriage and prostitution. Stating those are personal decisions. Issues I don't agree with but in order to be consistence with "Freedom" for all, I understand where he is coming from.

I am a smoker of fine cigars, I believe it should be up to the owner of a shop, restaurant or hotel whether or not they want to allow smoking. They government have no right tell an owner what to do on their own property. This is government over stepping their bounds and intruding on a business owner’s personal freedom not to mention the freedom of patrons.

No more nanny state!

So if my favorite place in world to eat adopts that rule and you and your nasty cigar are next to me, I have to smell that shit while I am trying to eat?

I thank God they passed the no smoking laws. Fucking disgusting pigs. You want to smoke, do it in your home...not where I eat. God bless America and fuck libertarians.

So the OWNER of your favorite restaurants doesn't get to run it the way HE wants to and the gubmint gets to tell him how to run it to YOUR personal liking? Fuck you commie!

I generally agree with much of what you post but this one isn't really honest. The final outcome of the health care bill that passed was not shaped by Obama. It was decided by the billions of dollars invested into the pockets of mostly the republicans by the HMO's and Pharms. The Montana senator Max Baucus, committee chairman, was the notable Dem exception to the left who would not even consider a public option as he was formulating most of the bill. He was TOTALLY in the pocket of the Ins, Pharms and HMO's. Obama would have liked to include a public option which would have changed everything. You are usually better informed and more honest.

He's not going to get the nomination - although I like him - so no, I am not wasting a vote on someone who us not going to win.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpAyan1fXCE]YouTube - Obama on single payer health insurance[/ame]

Too bad he folded on that. First he was single payer. Then he signed off on the most expensive health care possible. I don't remember him putting up much protest.

How utterly comical. You complain about national defence, public safety, and prisons which are all responsibilities of the federal government but say nothing about the trillions wasted patching sidewalks, replacing toilets, paying for local government employees, and giving money to lazy ignorant fuckers who do nothing to earn it and provide nothing of value to the government.

Then you'll have no problem listing the Republicans that voted to pass the bill.

We spend about as much on military as the rest of the world combined yet we are less safe than some other countries that spend...like... five bucks. Maybe we should find out how that happens.

The pentagon "loses" about 1/4 of its money every year. Trillions are missing. Who is getting that money?

I would vote for Ron Paul over Obama if the former is the GOP candidate.

For the love of God, I hope he does not do a Ross Perot and run as a third party candidate.
