The British are smarter than we are. When the anti-abortion crowd started causing trouble there, the British proactively created " censorship ," zones around abortion clinics to prevent conflicts. This woman was in violation of that law.
/---/ And that is why we have a 1st amendment and the belief in the separation of church and state. This prevents the Thought Police from arresting random citizens for their thoughts.

And you are guilty until you prove your innocence.
To rephrase it, you’re saying that they don’t have a legal presumption of innocence and that they have a burden of proof to carry?

I’m not sure that’s true in British law. In fact, their rules may differ from ours in various respects, but the Crown does bear the burden of proof of a charged criminal defendant’s guilt, beyond a reasonable doubt.

How did they know she was praying and not silently reviewing her shopping list?

Because she told them.

From the link: A charity volunteer was arrested after she told police she "might" be praying silently when they asked why she was standing on a public street near an abortion facility, according to a report from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) UK.

She might be praying, silently. Or she might not.

Got any examples of British problems becoming American ones?

Yes, look around you. All the democrats are about these days is making us just like the Europeans again whom we broke away from to form America.

Maybe better to ask what if anything do democrats want or do these days which is divesting away from Europe rather than moving closer to it?

England isn't like America, where we have freedom of speech and religion, guaranteed by the Constitution. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's their problem, not ours.
/——-/ Think again. It happens here.

So...........no examples, just rhetoric that your side spews on a regular basis.
