Yes, Bernie wants "free shit". Let's add it to the list of other "free shit"

Police, fire, public schools, military protection, highways etc.

Face it: America has always already embraced socialism. No nation on earth can function without socialism. Without it, you have places like Somalia. I don't understand why RWs struggle with this so much. Socialism in an economic system does not necessarily mean the absence of a private market. The US is a mixed economy. Anything funded by tax payers is socialism. Period.

Did you know that France keeps actors on the Government payroll, and several years ago they went on strike for more pay. Did you also know that France brags about a 15% unemployment rate?

SOCIALISM 101
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Why do you have to take it to such an extreme? First of all, nobody is talking about total socialism so stop misrepresenting. Second, those who believe in the type of democratic socialism in our capitalistic society aren't advocating giving free shit to people who don't want to work. If you honestly can't understand that the purpose and support is based around providing for those who are unable to provide, and to create better opportunity for those who need it, then you need to take a second look.

You can disagree with the ideology and present arguments for more effective policies but stop misrepresenting and manipulating the story. That's part of the problem with our partisan politics and what's frustrating so many people

Another far left drone failed thread!

See even the far left does not understand what the definition of socialism is, much less the definition of the word "is"..

So far left drone when are you going to give all your money to the government so they can tell you what you are worth?
So why do you still use the government services I listed?

The government services that I helped pay for?

The CON scum don't know what socialism is so they don't really hate it. What they hate is civilization, good citizenship and the very idea of government. Their dream is to have a massive arsenal and live in a bunker and jerking off to pictures of Ayn Rand while trying to reconcile their love for Ayn Rand with their false love for Jesus.

You wouldn't know socialism if it bit you in the ass.

Well what are you waiting for? Enlighten me.

You've been enlightened on here for years and you're still as dumb as a sack of hammers. You refuse logic and reason for your ideology. Quit asking to be enlightened if you are unwilling to be enlightened.

What a good little useful idiot you are.

While some claim that Obama has failed in his presidency, the fact is we'll look back and see that his presidency did indeed begin the "fundamental change" he promised.

Possibly the biggest change is the way the hard Left shed its inhibitions about defending, supporting and even promoting more and more aspects of socialism.

Personally, I think the turning point was the reaction to Obama's stunning "you didn't build that" speech. That's when Liz Warren started simplistically talking about "roads & bridges" and applied it to private industry.

Once an issue gets dumbed down and bumper-stickerized like that, the argument is won.
.
Oh, aye? What changed?
Perhaps you could be a little more specific.
.
For example, Obama can not boast of Guantanamo is still running.
What about health care? The basic idea was to make it affordable for the low earner. Is it now affordable?
Of course, Obama made a whole bunch of promises.
The Obameter: Tracking Obama's Campaign Promises | PolitiFact
I believe the goal was to get everybody insured, institute regulations for fair coverage, and to make it more affordable. They got two and now need some serious work to get the third done. Perhaps if all the wingnuts would stop bitching and obstructing, put their heads together and do their jobs then we can make some progress on that front. Saying they want to rip it to shreads isn't helping things and is a stupid suggestion. How about they propose ways to fix the problems and make it more affordable?

The wingnut obstruction ended when Harry Reid lost his job and the Senate for his party. Over 350 bipartisan bills killed for 2 years. That was a one man gridlock of Congress and thus America. Now the Senate regularly entertains debate and vote on bills from the House and sends them to the President. But I know that you are ignoring actual historic fact and meant the healthcare is being obstructed by Republicans. Tell the class who keeps changing the law outside of Congress (Obama) passing it and what has been repealed by Republicans (nothing).

I make no excuses for Harry Reid, he is just as bad as Mcconnell and crew... The congress would be better if those two turtles would be replaced by more effective leaders. You are delusional if you think obstruction is simply a Democratic problem and the Republicans have clean hands. It is both parties and it is a huge problem that extends well beyond healthcare.

Sure, both parties do it.......but only one gets blamed by the media. In fact, when Reid gummed up the works for 2 years, there were no news stories criticizing Reid, but daily stories parroting Reid blaming the Republicans. Feel free to google and verify.

I don't need to look it up, I've seen it and don't deny it. Still it doesn't make it ok for Reps to follow the same obstructionist BS... It's just snowballing... As bad as you may think Obama is he is our elected leader through 2 elections, do you think the republicans have treated him with respect and worked with him like he was a CEO? Be real. If this were a company and Obama was boss, many would be justly fired. Trump would have a field day
