Seems an explicit admission that you're on a fishing expedition. You're not at all concerned at the precedent that is setting? Why not?Apples and tomatoes. If it turns out (and it will) that any of the subpoenaed subjects were talking to people arrested for their violence on 1/6 .. there will be hell to pay.
So you'd be happy with random searches of your house? You have nothing to hide, right? Nothing to worry about, right? Not really - if they weren't talking to inappropriate parties then they have nothing to worry about.
Dems do it all the time when they slip restricted info to a friendly lib reporterNonsense, but you be you!
No, they might be violating federal privacy laws if they released them on their own.
That's what subpoenas are for. And nobody is gonna release unredacted phone records to the general public.
trump did.
While he was president. Only unlike the democrats, trump did it in secret.
He got Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell's phone records secretly.
There's an inspector general investigation into it now.
trump did much worse than just ask companies to retain records. Which is all the democrats have done thus far. That's it. All the democrats have done is ask those companies to retain records.
trump went much farther. He got phone records of those politicians and the records of many journalists. Mostly those at The NY Times and Washington Post. trump got the judge to issue a gag order so the phone companies couldn't alert their customers that it was being done.
The only reason why we know about this is because the gag order lapsed so the phone companies alerted their customers about trump getting their phone records. If that gag order had not expired, none of this would have been known.
You had absolutely no problem with trump doing this and doing it in secret.
Yet you have a problem with democrats publicly asking phone companies to retain records.
You are nothing but a hypocrite.

DOJ inspector general to review Trump Justice Department's seizure of Democrats' phone data

Don't need guesses. The Dems just want accomplices for their kangaroo investigation. Kangaroo investigations should not be allowed and any accomplices should pay for their actions.Interesting. I wonder why they would be worried about such a thing. It was just a tour that got a little rowdy!
Any guesses?
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) have warned telecommunications companies against sharing information with the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) joined House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in threatening telecommunications companies that comply with a records request from the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday. Greene is pictured after a press conference outside the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on August 23, 2021.
McCarthy and Greene on Tuesday both suggested that the companies would face repercussions for complying with the committee's request for data once Republicans are in control of the government. The committee asked 35 telecommunications and social media companies to supply it with the records on Monday.
Some of the requested records pertain to Greene and other Republican members of Congress who were involved in the January 6 "Stop the Steal" rally supporting former President Donald Trump's false claims that he "won" the 2020 election, according to CNN. Shortly after the rally, the Capitol was breached by rioters who claimed that Trump was a victim of election fraud.
Apples and salamanders - But they are more than welcome to search my house if they come with a warrant. No, I have nothing to hide.So you'd be happy with random searches of your house? You have nothing to hide, right? Nothing to worry about, right?
And let me guess: Trumpsters are the ones who decide what "kangaroo investigations" are.Don't need guesses. The Dems just want accomplices for their kangaroo investigation. Kangaroo investigations should not be allowed and any accomplices should pay for their actions.
Not openly, no. But Communists never do anything openly. When they give information to their media friends, they call it a leak, and how many dozens of times has that happened with the Democrats?
And I'll ask this question again: If they are going to try and pull this stunt, why not make the request for everybody in Congress instead of just Republicans? That way when we take over in 2023 we can see what they were talking about before and during the attack.
Its so odd watching you Trumpers during all of this. You supported the rioters, believe the Big Lie 100%, and heap praise on the liars still spreading the big lie. But no no no there is nothing to find in an investigation. Just a witch hunt! No insurrection, just a protest!Don't need guesses. The Dems just want accomplices for their kangaroo investigation. Kangaroo investigations should not be allowed and any accomplices should pay for their actions.
They are breaking the law.Interesting. I wonder why they would be worried about such a thing. It was just a tour that got a little rowdy!

Sad thing is the depth of your partisanship. Pelosi has had 13 investigations. Senate had an extensive months long investigation and report. Biden's DOJ has conducted and is conducting 400+ criminal investigations.I'm sorry you feel that way, but the American people want to know WTF happened on 1/6. We know at this point that McCarthy has lied about his phone calls with Trump, Jordon has lied about his phone calls with Trump, and we need to know what coordination went on between Q-Kooks like Greene & Boebert with Proud Boys, Q-Kooks and militia goons.
In the latest Economist/YouGov poll, the public supports such an investigation by nearly two to one (56% approve, 30% disapprove). One in four Republicans (28%) supports that commission, as do four in five Democrats (84%) and half of Independents (51%).![]()

No. No warrant. That is the standard you are advocating. Why the problem, you have nothing to hide., right?Apples and salamanders - But they are more than welcome to search my house if they come with a warrant. No, I have nothing to hide.
Obviously you don't understand that these people are government officials and should be held to a higher standard.

If you were being honest. they only thing you are looking for is something you believe might possibly embarrass Trump or any Republican.
Like what? Be specific. If you were being honest. they only thing you are looking for is something you believe might possibly embarrass Trump or any Republican
1979 called to say that has been the standard for 42 years. No warrant needed for phone records.No. No warrant. That is the standard you are advocating. Why the problem, you have nothing to hide., right?
