You were never slaves in Egypt

You haven't read them, have you? The Egyptian Book of the Dead says I have not stolen etc..
Most civilizations have similar laws to address misbehavior. At the time those laws were written Israel was not yet a 'nation'. While in Egypt they came under Egyptian laws.

The Jews emerged from the Canaanite tribes long after Hammurabi and Marduke.

The Israelites were not 'Canaanites'. They grew into a nation while enslaved for 400 years in Egypt.

They were Canaanites from Syria and south western Turkey. Abraham was from Urfa near Haran. Everyone walked to the Nile Delta in times of drought and scarcity.

You are partly correct. Anyone living in Canaan was a "Canaanite", but they are really the descendants of Canaan.

*The 'woman of Canaan' that Jesus engaged with was an Israelite.

Long before Jesus...long before the Israelites.. the landless Jews emerged from the Canaanites. That's why they borrowed so much from the Canaanite Pantheon and the mythos of the Ugarit at Ras Shamra.

Even the Psalms are poetry borrowed from the Canaanites.

Judah (Jew) was one of the twelve sons of Jacob/Israel, therefore no "Jew" existed before the Israelites.

The landless Israelite tribe emerged from the North Coast Canaanites.

Get up in the morning, slaving for bread, sir
So that every mouth can be fed
Poor me Israelites, ah..

The Code of Hammurabi and the Egyptian Book of the Dead came before the Ten Commandments.

were they written in the heavens, are there the originals - lets hope, pray they were not written by prosecutors, though the book of the dead sounds a little suspicious.

if they were as the jews claim and were not given the tablets for which they died for does that make the murderer, moses a better person.

It’s interesting, isn’t it? We have liberals on one thread blaming slavery for black people’s problems today, and we have liberals on another thread saying Jews made up the story about being slaves in Egypt.

Either way, both are true….and neither have any impact today.

The evidence points to the Jews being a landless tribe of Canaanites who began to believe in one God at the top of the Pantheon. Religion evolved over time

The story of Sinuhe is much older than Moses.

Separating people from error is a process, not an event.
