You were never slaves in Egypt

The sad fact is that Christianity does not recognize free will.
The split of the Kingdom was due to bruised egos.
The continued split resulted in God allowing the Kingdoms to be conquered.
Can you be specific. What biblical errors are in my statements?

(Anyone lurking who has bible knowledge feel free to jump in.)

It was not God's decision to split the Kingdom.
21 "And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.

22 But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

23 Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

24 Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the Lord, and returned to depart, according to the word of the Lord."
1Kings 12:21-24

Hope this helps. :)

There were slaves, but not to the extend that was portrayed in the Bible. The entire Hebrew people were not enslaved there, and there is evidence that most of the monuments originally thought to be built by slaves were not.

the first bit of your intellect that I can recall reading on these boards was your contention that the word
JEW did not exist until recent times when someone
"invented" the letter J . Try to expand your mind----
talk it over with your kindergarten spanish teacher----
remember? uno dos tres quatro cinco..................
Evidently, irosie91 has not studied the issue she so prouldly yaps about.

Obviously You have not studied the subject and rely on the altered King James Bible that uses the letter J. See the Original King James Bible Title Page for the New Testament, below:

Notice there is no Jesus, but Iesus, which is the Greek pronounciation of Yahshua or Yeshua.

Jesus is not a unique name; there are several people named Jesus in Jewish history; a couple of them were priests. As long as it's known who is being referred to, the spelling is irrelevant to anything in the English translations.

We know there were Jewish soldiers stationed in the lower Nile in their own fort circa 700 B.C. Jewish mercenaries were fairly common in Egypt. Jewish mercenaries turn up all the way to China and the Han dynasty.

Huge exaggerations about population. The population of Palestine was never more than 700,000.

Elephantine Island... But Jews also lived in Aleppo, Alexandria, Damascus etc.

Where does this say that God forced anyone to split the kingdom?

This may help.

Once again...Where does it say that God split the kingdom.
The NT has nothing in it in reference to pre-Jesus that wasn't ripped off from Tanach.
It just shows how gullible Christians are.
Jews read the NT but Christians don't start with Tanach.

I agree. There's nothing in the Old Testament about Jesus.

All the warnings about what has happened to the Jews in the last 1,000 times were said by Moshe towards the end of Deuteronomy.
There is nothing new in the NT.
In fact, if the Jews didn't go through exile when they disobeyed God, we would have known Moshe was a false prophet and we would have been gone centuries ago.

Jesus wasn't the Messiah the Jews expected.
