They applied for NATO membership AFTER they were invaded by russia

Ukraine applied to join NATO in 2008. That application was not acted on because they had no chance of being admitted.

After the Russian invasion hey asked for that application to be reconsidered and expedited. That didn’t happen and it won’t as they still don’t have unanimous support.

I believe he would as those churches are places where Ukrainian civilians worship. Not all of them are Russia sympathizers.

The strategy Russia is now employing is one designed to keep Ukrainian civilians living in a state of fear and terror.
