2 gunmen w AR15s open fire in Houston; 2 citizens down; 4 cops; PD helicopter shot

I don't keep up with state gun laws because it's of no interest to me, however, I am not aware of any state laws that would ban the woman's revolver in your posting above this one.
Well that explains not only a lot, but my perception of a typical Left Winger anti-Second Amendment advocate.

Funny how I posted "You don't know of states or cities with strict gun laws including gun bans? You aren't aware of several attempts by, Democratic lawmakers to make stricter, if not ban, guns?", yet you deliberately chose to only address "state gun laws". Is this because you know or are afraid I'm correct about cities and Democratic legislators?

If you're going to be dishonest and make shit up about me, there's no need for us to continue this conversation. I'm certainly not for taking away guns from law abiding citizens.

Now I'll let you get back to your gun porn.

Are you now backpedaling and denying you said "I don't keep up with state gun laws because it's of no interest to me"?

Your faux anger is not working since I obviously did not "make shit up" about you. You made the statement and I responded.

OTOH, you are clearly making shit up about me. Hypocrite much, Carla?
Are you trying to kill Divine's hard-on, right after he's been looking at all of this gun porn? :)

So you want to ignore something we know?
No. Do you want to stake your reputation on the hearsay of a cousin he hadn't seen in years?

Why do you and Carla take the hearsay of a cousin over that of his own family? Because it fits your politics better?

Okay, let's run with that. Say it was 100% true, he came to Texas to commit mass murder because the laws were looser than California's. First, almost all states have looser laws than California. Second, how does that fit the fact his family knew he had problems following his two tours in the WOT? Doesn't that say more about how our troops are being handled and treated than it does about Texas gun laws?

ibguc3.jpg

Unless you have some other report I think we need to go on what his family is saying. Not a stretch that Texas would attract gun murdering nuts.

mm, murderers tend to be careful here. the state killing them aside, thugs know that a little old granny can glock their ass if they get to uppety. I'm cool with how it is here.

Funny your homicide rate isn't particularly low...

No it isnt. Typically it's the hood rats and border brothers shooting each other up with some occasional white trash thrown in for diversity. Still, Texas is not a real good place to home invade or commit murder in. Also, our big cities like Houston, Dallas, lots of murder in those places. Just like anywhere else I guess. except Chicago.

Your crime rates aren't particularly low. You might want to think it is a bad place for home invasions, but i see no evidence.

Hey, you're the one posting naked pics of women holding guns for no apparent reason. You're a grown man, so have at. I'm certainly not interested though.

None were naked, but you've proven yourself to, at best, highly exaggerate the truth. At worst, flat out lie to avoid facing reality.

Not seeing tx on either of your links...
Correct. Not the safest, but not the worst. Did you see any correlation to "loose gun laws" there? No, you didn't because there is no evidence it matters. What factors do matter, in your opinion, to higher relative crime rates?

Are you like Carla where you don't go looking for evidence to support or disprove your political opinions?

Here's some evidence: The Most Dangerous States in America

The Safest States in America

I'm not surprised by these stats at all.

From you link.

It looks like Bernie Sander's state of Vermont is the safest state to live in the country, due to the low poverty level.

1. Vermont
> Violent crimes per 100,000:
99.3
> Population: 626,562
> Total 2014 murders: 10 (the lowest)
> Poverty rate: 12.2% (15th lowest)

Vermont is the safest state in the nation. Fewer than 100 violent crimes for every 100,000 people are reported each year, the lowest rate in the nation and a fraction of the national violent crime rate of 366 per 100,000. As in a number of other safe areas, relatively strong socioeconomic measures in the state likely help drive down the frequency of crime. Jobless and poor men with time on their hands, for example, are among the most likely perpetrators of crimes in the United States, and Vermont has had nearly the lowest unemployment rate over the last several years. Also, just 12.2% of individuals in the state live in poverty, one of the lower rates. But to the extent that financial instability and desperate situations can drive people to crime, Vermont’s relatively generous social services system may also help prevent some types of crime among low-income Vermonters.

Your links supported what I was saying. Tx isn't in the top 10 safest. Policing effects crime rates, gun ownership/concealed carry does not effect crime rates.

Now you are closer to making a real difference; by understanding real factors and not just political BS. Yes, poverty in those stats seems to be tied to crime. So what the best way to help others lift themselves out of poverty? Why are some states richer or poorer than others? Answer those questions and you'll see most, if not all, states become as safe as Vermont.

I won't argue that, but like I said it's not so bad as you get away from the cities. Crime happens, but when it happens here one stands a good chance of getting shot. Especially where we live.
