40 Years of Class Warfare in One Chart.

When about 15,000 Americans "earn" an amount of $$$ equal to half the GDP of Brazil, is that your idea of a "free" market?
dear its 100000000% free. you are free not to buy another thing from Steve Jobs or any other rich person to prevent them from earning so much money!!

why not organize people to stop buying rather than use govt to steal your money back at the point of a gun!!

George wants to know why people aren't given more money in the free market, after all, money is free, right?
Because, capitalism is only useless to the right; the left knows we should be Using capitalism for all of its worth.

We could solve simple poverty in our republic, by investing in the general welfare.

My hangover cure is to take 4 aspirin and drink lots of water. Maybe you can come back and explain what that means when you can think straight again
would it be Any form of problem for any private sector in our republic, if we solved for a poverty of money in our Institution of money based markets with existing legal and physical infrastructure?

Maybe you could be a little more specific how you propose to accomplish that. Trillions spent on the war on poverty hasn't dented poverty rates, maybe we need a better solution, one based on personal accountability instead of the one we have now which incents dependence

George wants to know why people aren't given more money in the free market, after all, money is free, right?
If interest is the cost of money, Wall Street would consider money to be free. Perhaps that's why 90% of economic gains over the past decade have found their way into the pockets of the 1%?

Personally, I believe the cultural inheritance of mankind belongs equally to all humanity and not primarily to those who "own" the means of production.

Since capitalism is only useless to the right and I am on the left and believe we should merely Use capitalism for all of its worth; we should be solving for some simple social dilemma. Why not abolish capitalism's laissez-fare laziness regarding its Natural off Rate Unemployment by using socialism's capital work ethic to bailout capitalism like usual.

It should not be too difficult to discover some means to achieve that social end, on an at-will basis in our at-will employment States.

Begging the question. There is nothing stopping workers from forming their own business and if they are better beating the ones set up by people like me who hire workers. Why don't they do it? Why don't they form their own company and have us for lunch?

Here is the clue and the Cause:

Why not abolish capitalism's laissez-fare laziness regarding its Natural of Rate Unemployment by using socialism's capital work ethic to bailout capitalism, like usual; since, socialism provides recourse to any Faith inducing Capitalism, through an official Mint.

What Good capitalist of morals could fail to have Faith in capitalism, with an official Mint provided by socialism.

LOL, socialism's work ethic. Haven't done any research on the success of socialist economies, have you? China turned to capitalism to bail out socialism...

Less communism is still socialism.

What question am I begging? The one about capitalism and the seeds of its own destruction? Maybe you should look into a WSDE before it's too late?

If workers set up their own enterprise in a free market, that is capitalism, not socialism. Go to it!

Why are unions being denied and disparaged in their collective bargaining?

Can you be a little more specific? If you could, that would be a first for you, you like staying at 50K feet and having sweeping conversations

If workers set up their own enterprise in a free market, that is capitalism, n
How did you arrive at that conclusion? Capitalism consolidates the decision making process among a small percentage of executives and board members; WSDEs democratize decision making among the majority of workers.

No, capitalism is economic freedom. You don't know what you're talking about. Nothing in our system stops workers from banding, producing and selling products and keeping all the profit cutting out management and shareholders entirely. So why don't they do it?

Well, as someone who has bought five businesses, combined three of them and sold two, I know what is involved. Absolutely nothing stops them. You keep making the claim they can't. Why not? Since they are cutting out management and shareholders, they can cut prices and still make more than other companies. You tell me why they can't since you're the one making the arguments based on that they can't

"Productivity in the economy grew by 80.4 percent between 1973 and 2011 but the growth of real hourly compensation of the median worker grew by far less, just 10.7 percent….

"The pattern was very different from 1948 to 1973, when the hourly compensation of a typical worker grew in tandem with productivity.

"Reestablishing the link between productivity and pay of the typical worker is an essential component of any effort to provide shared prosperity and, in fact, may be necessary for obtaining robust growth without relying on asset bubbles and increased household debt."

40 Years of Economic Policy in One Chart CounterPunch Tells the Facts Names the Names

In the 1970s wages detached from productivity and the richest among us began using their newly acquired wealth to reduce taxes on capital, role back regulations, break unions, "and induce their shady Central Bank buddies to keep interest rates locked below the rate of inflation so they could cream hefty profits off gigantic asset bubbles."

Mission Accomplished?

That is exactly when the far left socialists (Libs) took control of the Democratic Party in the early 70's
The bigger the government grows the less they have to give to the workers.
This happens every time throughout history.
The more that socialists try to equalize everything the less the people of that system gets.

Actually, the 1970s was when Democrats began pursing major corporate and 1% funding for their campaigns. The last time socialists had roles in influencing Democrat party politics they forced FDR to save capitalism from itself.
