This is a good article.

It doesn't mince words. Which is what we need more of these days.

They put together a video of leaders from around the world and contrasted them with trump.

It's embarrassing.

If what we're enduring now is trump and his follower's idea of making America great again, they have lost their minds.

As a European who has always had an affinity for the US, it saddens me to have to completely agree with this. The US political system has gone so far on the path of simply being 2 sides pitted against one another that someone like Trump can not just get elected but that he will be defended no matter how clearly he shows himself to be not just bad but dangerous as president.

Unfortunately, he will be there for another four years. You guys should have thought this through.

1) The Atlantic is leftist hack-a-rama, so a "good article" is a matter of opinion.

2) Your party offers up absolutely nothing better.....In fact, it's very arguable that they're even worse.

The second 4 years of the Trump presidency is going to be amazing. ...

I don't know. Drinking bleach will be hard to beat if you want to race to the bottom.

Nobody said anything about drinking bleach....If you really think that happened, you must be getting your "news" from shit sources like The Atlantic.

Nah I was paraphrasing. I could show you the clip of what Trump actually said. Doesn't exactly make him look any less of an idiot. I could show you the clip of him being laughed at in the UN. Hugging flags. Calling people Pocahantes while hosting Native American WW2 vets. Show you transcripts of him blackmailing leaders of state in order to get the son of his opponent investigated. I could post tapes of him bragging about grabbing woman by the pussy or walking into girl's bedrooms. I could go on and on. Just showing tape after tape, after twitter account or even stuff he released himself. In short yes what the Democrats have is better. Not because what they have is great but because at this point any person with the slightest bit of intellectual honesty should be able to admit that Trump is not just a bad president but he doesn't even the minimum requirements to not be considered a bad human being.

I'll tell you what. You are allowed to use Biden's entire public record. I'm only allowed to use Trump actually on tape for let's say the last month. Are you willing to compare notes as to why we reject the candidates?

Nope. Libs have slid off into the abyss of socialism/marxism/communism. Those three forms of govt can rot in hell. Ukraine joe doesn't even know where he's at. He has dementia, delusional, mental problems, physical health problems. This is the best you got.

Anne Applebaum is merely preaching to the choir. No one else is reading The Atlantic. It's kind of odd that they need that much propaganda for the people that are allegedly all on board together.

About one third of the voting population of the United States will always support trump.

The only way he got into office last time was the on line campaign to get people to not vote and it worked.

trump didn't have a political history then. He does now. It's not good. He may get what is called his base but he can't win an election with just his base and that's all he has.

He has not attracted many if any new voters.

His only hope is a repeat of 2016 and get enough people to not vote.

He's not only dangerous to America, he's dangerous to the world.

I agree. On the other hand I think 1 third would likely support Trump even if he would be a Democrat. Just the political affiliation of those who support him would be different. That was the point I was making. In the US it's no longer about competence but rather about political affiliation and both sides will support their candidate.

Nope. As a lib--I am definitely all love, peace and chicken grease-not a communist and not a Marxist (which is not a form of government). The Democratic Party is neoliberal. If you listen to them, and even to those on this board, they pretend that socialism is ok ONLY when they are arguing with someone from the right wing or when it suits them. Because those on the right have some type of Pavlovian response to the word communism or socialism. When it comes down to it (as we have repeatedly seen), their cold, dark, little capitalist hearts wins in the end when the rubber hits the road. They pretend to give a shit when they think it will help them win.

Had the DNC and many elected officials of the Democratic Party, and their hired online trolls, not acted like douche bags for 8 years they wouldn't be in this position. Further, their insistence on turning the debates into a game show atmosphere with their pretense of important questions has sealed the deal.

So, it's not about leadership. Anyone with two brain cells floating recognizes that the COVID-19 response is all about the state governors. It's about they don't have anything or anyone else to run on.

Yes some people would vote for the devil if he had an R after his name.

That's all they're looking for. That R. They don't care what the person stands for or their history. Just that there's an R after their name.

Same with others and the D after a name.

I've been a registered Independent since 1978, I've voted a variety of parties through the decades.

I don't want to vote for Biden in the fall but the republicans make it impossible for me to vote my conscience in the fall. I voted my conscience in the primary. Will hold my nose and vote for Biden in the fall.

I'm obviously liberal. I just wanted to point out that my reply was a general criticism of politics in the US rather than a condemnation of Trump.

I'm also liberal.

Yes as I posted, democrats do the same thing.

I just wish people would stop paying attention to the lies.
