I don't know that I'll vote for him, and I don't like what he said about John McCain, and I don't care sometimes for the blustery testosteronics.

But, he will say some things I don't like, and some I do---if he will just keep saying what's on his mind.

How refreshing is that?

Hillary Clinton can only speak on very carefully selected talking points...and, more and more, she has to look down at a piece of paper to help her remember them. And, they all sound like lawyers wrote them for her, and perhaps they did, since she'll likely be indicted if she is not elected.

But, Trump has declared himself emancipated from the Political Correctness Codes written by hypocrites in New York and California...in Chicago and the White House...and he will say what is on his mind...and that will get him in trouble sometimes...but more important...he will give Americans a free airing of all that is wrong with this country.

And, he deserves a great big thank you for that.

"“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said of McCain, a Vietnam War veteran who was held captive and tortured for more than five years at one of North Vietnam’s most notorious prisons. “He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.”

POINT TRUMP......Anyone who served in that country is/was a hero NOT just those captured or killed.

"“If a person is captured, they’re a hero as far as I’m concerned,” Trump told reporters. “I don’t like the job John McCain is doing in the Senate because he’s not taking care of our veterans.”

POINT TRUMP....VA care for vets is highly flawed and second class.

"“I am not a fan [of] John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what the Veterans need, especially in regards to the VA. He is yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job and helping the Vets. He is also allowing our military to decrease substantially in size and strength, something which should never be allowed to happen.”

POINT TRUMP....McCain HAS placed the life value of an ILLEGAL over that of a CITIZEN.

"Not only that, the statement continued, McCain was “extremely disrespectful to the thousands upon thousands of people, many of whom happen to be his constituents, that came to listen to me speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix last week by calling them ‘crazies.’”

POINT TRUMP.....McCain DID attack American CITIZENS who CHOSE to attend another's rally.

"Not only that, the statement continued, McCain was “extremely disrespectful to the thousands upon thousands of people, many of whom happen to be his constituents, that came to listen to me speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix last week by calling them ‘crazies.’”

POINT TRUMP....He is SAYING what America is THINKING.

"Despite drawing criticism from fellow candidates and elected officials on both sides of the political spectrum, Trump’s campaign also clearly resonated with some voters, with a recent national Fox News Pollshowing the billionaire taking the lead over fellow GOP candidates.

TRUTH can be a hard bitter reality sometimes. But the fact that it IS hard and bitter makes it no less the TRUTH

I think McCain is a hero. He refused to leave that Hanoi prison early...he could have...but the other POWs were not going be be allowed to go with him. So, he stayed where he was being tortured.

Trump would help himself in my eyes if he would apologize to McCain and all POWs...but apologizing is also a bow to the Political Correctness Police...I can live with some mistakes just to hear a man with the guts to say what he thinks...without notes.

Ironically, McCain is one of the few in Washington who also has the guts to say what he thinks.

Thank you, Donald Trump, for speaking the truth. I hope you're beefing up your security because the left is getting very worried about the increase in your popularity.

"...apologizing is also a bow to the Political Correctness Police..."

No.

Apologizing when one is wrong, and Drumpf most certainly is very wrong, is a sign of integrity and honesty.

Drumpf does not believe its possible for him to wrong about anything. He will not even offer up one of those fake apologies that include the words '... if I offended anyone ... ' because he doesn't care how the military, our vets and other POWs feel.

This is just one more example of the way the right and RWs give lip service to "we support our military" while they actually do nothing of the kind and consistently vote against jobs and housing bills as well as health care.

Why should McCain have left the Hanoi Hilton early. I heard he was treated like a rock star - complete with hookers and all.

Listening to one of our top canuck talkers today and he was amazed at the callers who were supporting Trump. He truly was shocked at the vehemence of Canadian listeners who said exactly the same thing.

In short the comments were basically "Trump lays it on the line. Trump tells you exactly what he thinks. Trump isn't a walking talking "talking point". Trump is brash and over the top but he's speaking from his guts."

And so on and so on. And these callers were adamant in their opinion that THIS is the way politics should be. Gloves off and let it roll.

Interesting eh? Even I was taken aback at the fervour and passion my fellow canucks were displaying. Only one neg caller.

McCain attacked Trump and his base first. If any apology is in order, McCain goes first.

And the rest of your post is bullshit.

Once again, if McCain had left the Hanoi Hilton early due to his father being an admiral, he would have violated Article 3 of the Military Code of Conduct. He had to emphasize that he stayed for self-promotion political purposes.
