It will not be until some time in April that the number of sign-ups Oct.-Dec that actually made it to the insurance companies will be more or less known.

Jan.-March sign ups and premium payments for Oct-Dec sign ups will not be known until July, if then.

1/3 of all sign-ups are in ultra narrow networks like CA and they will mostly see insurance savings. The coverage may suck but the costs are in fact low.

The hits to consumption and GDP will not kick in until July-Sept. The bigger hits to consumption and GDP will not be seen until Oct.-March. With cash cycles and similar frictions first premiums will continue to dribble in well into Apr-July/2014.

The various taxes associated with the ACA will not be felt until 2015.

All hopes of an R sweep this year are silly. 9-11 Senate seats or a 53-55 majority is the likely outcome. Even if everything breaks their way they cannot reach 67 and 60 is highly doubtful.

2016 is a much more likely blow-out year.
