A White House in crisis, and dancing on graves

So what resolution to this do you think should happen?
This isn't a matter of politics or opinions or policy, it's a matter of behaviors. So fixing the problem would be incredibly easy: Just stop behaving like this. Stop putting party over country,

All of this could literally be switched off overnight if we wanted to.
.
In wanting to get rid of Trump, I am putting country before party. He is destroying our country.

Your surrender is noted.
Faun: “Your surrender is accepted.”

A mindless parrot squawks what it hears...

Marty: “Your surrender is noted.”

It wasn't parroting, it was mocking.

Figures you can't figure that out.
LOL

Still a mindless post. Seems that’s all you’re capable of.

I only give what I get. Post something worthy of a longer response and you will get one.

Post "fuh fuh fuh, trump sucks, fuh fuh fuh" and get what it deserves.
At least you know you’re a mindless parrot who only squawks back what it hears.

That's funny coming from a Prog-drone such as yourself.

What is being "destroyed" exactly?

You are 100% putting party and ideology before country, and that you have the balls or ignorance to think otherwise is indicative of the typical progressive lemming.

There are many Americans who are not paralyzed by a partisan ideology. We have our views, we like this politician more than the other, we vote that way, but what we really want is things to go as well as possible, as often as possible. Even if it's not the way we would have chosen. We don't care who gets the credit politically.

What we're seeing now is clearly (a) a White House in crisis, primarily internally and as it operates under threat of a deep, broad federal investigation that could expose or destroy not just the President and various staff members, but members of his family. Proponents of the White House are, predictably, defending the President. Fine. But this is clearly not good. For the country.

Equally troubling to those of us who are hoping for the best regardless of who gets credit is the behavior of those who are clearly in joyous celebration of what is happening. As we see here on USMB, it's thread after thread of his opponents dancing on (what they suspect and hope is) his grave. A White House is in crisis, and there are Americans who are obviously overjoyed and reveling in the disaster.

This is why so many of us choose not to ideology affix ourselves to a party. We may share many opinions with one or the other, but we refuse to behave like this. It's now officially party over country, and it's ugly. We want no part of this.
.
For some of people it's not about "credit" it's about choosing the kind of government you feel is best for the country. There are very strong divisions between Democrats and Republicans....especially now after eight years of very divisive rhetoric and the success of the current president at undoing much of the harm imposed by the Obama administration.

Indecisive, wishy washyness just seems like a lack of backbone and the wording of your post doesn't really reflect a true desire for peace.
Advocating for less abusive, divisive, counter-productive behavior is not an indication of a "lack of backbone" or "wishy washiness". At the end of the second line of my sig, I give my specific stands on a list of issues and I'm willing to discuss any of them. To my knowledge, I'm the only poster who has done that. So, wishy washy? Nope.

Based on the responses I'm seeing so far in this thread, it appears that those who behave this way think that their behavior is their only option; that party over country behaviors are somehow acceptable.

I don't agree. I think we could drop this behavior tomorrow, if we really wanted to.

I'm not familiar with your posting history or affiliation but your apparent belief that the White House is in crisis because of the Mueller investigation despite a total lack of evidence doesn't seem non-partisan.

After living through eight years of policy-making that I totally despised I have right to express how I feel (within reason) about the reversal of that policy. You don't seem to understand that Democrats were so close taking the country to the point of no return. The election of Hillary would have meant Democratic Socialism and the end of the two-party system. Trump's presidency put an end to the Dems evil plans and they are FURIOUS! They're not going to stop vilifying Trump, Republicans, Conservatives, Christians.....anyone they feel is responsible for their defeat.....ever.

I'm not liking the hatefulness either but the country is deeply divided and it's going to take time to heal. IMO a strong economy and a rejection of the lawlessness that Democrats foster are the best ways to accomplish that healing.

Well, the term "crisis" is subjective. There is obviously turmoil, and he's obviously under some fairly intense scrutiny from Mueller. I didn't vote for Trump, but I'd be perfectly happen to be proven wrong. A 90% approval rating would be fine with me, regardless of whether he institutes policy that I disagree with. I'm wrong all the time, just ask my wife. Just show me results.

My point is that there are many Democrats who are clearly celebrating this, even though it's not healthy for the country. And if this kind of thing would have happened with Obama, no doubt the Republicans would have behaved the same way.

To me, that's party over country.

How about putting the blame for a White House in crisis where that blame belongs? On the right for electing a corrupt pathological liar who knows nothing about politics other than his misguided opinions; who lost control of the White House the day he moved in? There’s a reason we elect politicians to be president while businessmen are best suited to run companies.

Then deal with the reality that the country has not been this divided and polarized since the Civil war and Trump is doing nothing but fomenting that gap.

Then recall you’re posting on a political forum where people come to vent their political bias.

You can’t wish away our differences; so the problem is not going to be rectified easily.
If these behaviors were relegated to internet message boards, they would be delightfully irrelevant. Amusing.

But they're not. They now permeate our culture, from top to bottom, from Left to Right.

That's what concerns me.
.
When do you think this problem began?

You will not harvest fruit from asking that dude an honest question like that. Whenever it was....both sides are to blame. Only....the side
with the facts in their arsenal are supposed to offer concessions to the side which has opted for lunacy. Its only fair.

The growth of this behavior has been exponential over the last few presidencies. Since both "sides" of this are so committed to the behavior, since both "sides" could turn it off today if they wanted to, I'm not going to blame one "side" over the other. It's irrelevant at this point.

Wanting someone who is destroying your country gone and being happy about his demise doesn’t mean we want bad things to happen to the US. Good things will never happen for the US as long as Trump is dismantling your government at the behest of Vladimir Putin.

The sooner Trump is gone, the sooner the US can start undoing the damage he’s done.
