The part about violence makes no sense. First off, there are times when violence is necessary, no one doubts that. When an election is stolen and it is not being heard, that would certainly tick the box. That said, I am not aware of the protests themselves being violent, an officer decided to shoot someone and that's that.

And about the cops... just because Americans side against criminals does not mean we side with cops.

There is no hypocrisy in the situation, there is a glaring false equivalency that is in the OP. Perhaps there is some hypocrisy by the left for not demanding the officer be charged with murder over shooting an unarmed woman and rioting over it, but other than that...

It was not just property damage, this riot or assault was a dagger aimed at the heart of our democratic institutions.
