You're essentially saying that since it's possible to kill someone by more than one means, that it doesn't make much sense to restrict the access to a method that makes it easier than any other method to kill large numbers of people in a short period of time because it won't prevent other ways of committing murder.

But be that as it may, you still miss the point. The NRA likes to project itself as the advocate for gun ownership. But they don't really represent gun owners. They USED to, but that was a long time ago. NOW, first and foremost, the NRA represents gun manufacturers because that's where they get the majority of their funding.

So it took 154 bullets to kill 27 people? That's equal to firing about 6 bullets per person over a five minute period. That's 6 bullets every 10 seconds by a supposedly experienced shooter using a Bushmaster- He should have been able to get 6 bullets a second. What this means is that he'd have had plenty of time to switch up had he been using smaller magazines

As awful as the news would like to make that sound- in reality 5 minutes is a long time when firing a semi auto. He should have been able to do much more damage than he did.

Due to the fact that mass shootings happen in country's with gun laws more restrictive then they are here Im pretty sure they would like to know how to stop thees crazy folks before they kill to. An 'assault weapon' ban would not have stopped it and will not stop another like it.
A "hi-cap' magazine ban woudl not have stopped it and will not stop another like it.
Universal background checks would not have stopped it and will not stop another like it.
Universal gun registration would not have stopped it and will not stop aniother like it.
Universal licensure of gun owners would not have stopped it and will not stop another like it.
