And what is wrong with 22 million americans losing health insurance under Trumpcare?

That's the new dem talking point and it's BS . Obamacare is WELFARE and we all agree the welfare rolls need to be reduced. The 22 million who will lose their huge subsidies are free to go out and buy health insurance with THEIR money.

The 22 million who are "losing" their healthcare are choosing to stop buying it. Th y are not losing it.

Those 22 million people ar currently being forced to buy insurance they do not want because if the penalty. Once the penalty is removed, they won't pay for insurance.

We are a nation of citizens, so the general welfare of the nation means the general welfare of it's citizens. The government exists to serve the people, not the people existing to serve the government or the nation, nor does the government exist to serve itself. National Healthcare programs are in the interest of the 'General Welfare' and are not only Constitutional, but mandated by the Constitution.

Taxation is not 'stealing'. If you do not like paying taxes, then do not accept U.S. federal dollars.

You're wrong. The Constitution is very clea r in its language. The authors went out of their way to use phrases like The People when talking about the Rights of the citizenry. Such language does not exist in Article I, Section 8. If it did, I would be entitled to a soldier to personally defend me on a daily basis.

Taxation is theft when the monies are used for illegal, immoral and unconstitutional expenditures.

By your logic (or lack of), the phrase "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms", applies to the people as a whole and not the individual.

And BTW, there are 1.4 million people in the U.S. military that are defending you every day.

There is nothing wrong with it.

What is wrong is this..those people are going to lose health care anyway..they are losing it now under obamacare, because obamacare is nothing but a racket. I'm watching people in Oregon lose their coverage and have been watching it for years. If we repeal obamacare, they are going to blame that on us, and pretend that obamacare was working..which is exactly what they are doing.

I'm not sure I care at this point. Repeal it. Fuck replacement. I could care less if people have medical insurance or not. Insurance is a scam.

Republicans are literally the reason it wasn't more successful. It did fine in blue states, but red states stubbornly refused the federal funding provided for the program, making it painfully expensive and out of reach for many people. They are so intent on seeing Obama fail that they're willing to destroy good in the process. All politicians are sketchy and I tend to not trust any of them, but the right wing movement is evil.

There is NO response to this COLLOSSAL Ignorance...........

Perhaps Republicans can dictate that Insurance companies remain in the exchanges no matter the losses, that deductibles are reduced, and that taxpayers fund vastly rising premiums......,

You know, for the people !!!!!!!!!!

Did you know universal healthcare is actually cheaper? Once you remove predatory insurance companies from the picture and people aren't scared of going to the doctor because of cost, the effect of preventative care really shines. People start going to the doctor and getting fixed when they notice a problem instead of waiting until it's a catastrophe and 500 times more expensive to fix. I saw the taxes of a friend from England once. He showed me where they deduct for his healthcare. The amount he paid was a small fraction of the cost of my health insurance.

Cheaper my ass , you and "your friend" never heard of the value added tax?

.

Not at all, but I don't expect a Socialist like you to understand that. The People refers to individual citizens and always has.

By your logic, I zhould have an individual soldier assigned to defend ME, not the nation as a whole.

You have a sick notion of what is immoral, disgusting and unconstitutional. Seems that your idea is that anything that doesn't benefit you personally is "immoral, disgusting and unconstitutional". Which means that only you are immoral and disgusting.

The general welfare of the NATION, no t individual citizens. If an action requires harming one group of citizens to benefit another, it does not meet the ideal of "general welfare." As, Medicare, Medicaid, the ACA AND The AHCA ALL harm some to herlp others. Thzt makes them ALL unconstitutional.

It is grossly immoral to help those who will noit help themselves, especially when it requires using the Government to steal from those who can and do help themselves to do it.
Yep, it seems some individuals cannot distinguish between GENERAL and SPECIFIC when the term "welfare" gets thrown in, oddly enough those same people never seem to give a flying fuck about the people that get screwed over (aka a degradation of the victims welfare) while all this "promoting of the general welfare" is going on.

The welfare of of more than 23 million Americans is far from 'specific'.
a subset of 23 million based on defined characteristics out of 315 million IS specific.

And no, we don't give a flying fuck about the super wealthy who have benefited so well under our system of economics that has been created by the government, and built by American workers.
You don't appear to give a flying fuck about ANYTHING except your self righteous sermonizing regarding how other people owe you something.

Guess what you dim witted turd...I'm have private insurance thru my employer. What's more is I'm a highly paid systems admin that works for a privately owned company. I'm a person that DOES NOT benefit in any way from government social programs and pay a huge chunk of my salary in taxes. So your entire argument is BULLSHIT!!

I consider caring about my fellow Americans, as well as paying taxes to be my patriotic duty. I know that the quality of life for me and my family depends on the health of the society in which we live - but that's the only benefit I get from the government social programs.

You just can't comprehend that there are people who give a damn about anyone but themselves.

I get my insurance through my employer as well. In fact my wife GAVE UP her Medicare and Medicaid benefits (she's on disability) when we got married because my employer health insurance is so good. I lose close to 40% of my paycheck to taxes, insurance, etc... every week.

Your patriotic duty is to take care of you and yours, not to stick your noise in my or my family's business. You might not have the nose when you pull your head back, if you do.

I can comprehend there are people like you out there. You used to be in the nut huts until Reagan closed them all.

"General welfare" clause does not give power to Congress to legislate the general welfare of the country, since that reserved to the states thru 10th, but it allows Congress to spend money on duties enumerated in Article 1 Section 8. Further, general welfare should effect everyone equally, and robbing Peter to pay Paul doesn't fall into the category.

They all know that, but it doesn't fit their narrative.

Lefties claim that 20 million lost insurance, while in reality government lost 20 million involuntary customers who are happy to get away from Democrat's shackles.

I love the way you framed that. Perfect! It's exactly right, but the Libs will just stick to the lie. "22 MILLION PEOPLE WILL LOSE THEIR HEALTHCARE!!!!!"

The preample to the Constitution is an extremely broad statement, requiring the the government to 'promote the general welfare'. It's not up to you to narrowly define it as convenient for yourself.

Allowing a mass Healthcare crisis to continue is clearly against the interests of the general welfare of this country.

Why don't you read Jefferson's writing about "general welfare" clause, than you come back to talk to me.

I completely disagree. A real healthcare crisis would separate the wheat from the chaff and purge tens of millions of those who cannot or will not take care of themselves. This would greatly improve the American gene pool by removing unproductive, liberal scum from the citizenry.

Did you know that medicaid is the largest healthcare provider in the US, look it up. 49% of babies are born under medicaid, 70% of children are cared for under medicaid. The elderly have care under medicaid and medicaid waiver which is a special program for those who have worked all their lives. I am disabled but worked for 40 years and am waiting for my retirement, should I lose a portion of my healthcare and die because you dont want to understand how the healthcare system works?
Not all people on medicaid are just loafers or freeloading off your income.
