Another Politician actually does body slam a protestor, should the republicans condemn him?

There are differences.....franken charged two people who were not in his proximity......his attack is worse.......he picked up a guy from behind and then actually did body slam him......he is nuts.

There are no differences - both are assault. And consider, the reporter was not only body slammed but grabbed by the throat and punched several times.

Both actions are inexcusable.
So are riots, destruction of property, and blocking traffic to the point that man dies.

Totally. Have I ever said different.

Although I think the man dying turned out to be an urban legend....

Get back to Me when you show the exact same amount of outrage at the violence from the left.

Deflection noted.

I personally think that we need more of it. Start pushing back physically until the left realizes that civility starts with them as well as us.

Well thanks for being clear. Violence is ok as long as it's against the "other side".

Pathetic.
It used to be that violence was never okay. Now, however; violence is never okay when the right does it. Still okay when the left does it, so yes. Your deflection is noted.

The left wishes to fight a war, then be prepared to be bloodied. I no longer care who is upset about it.

Other than defense violence is NEVER ok, are we bunch of chimpanzees or rational people?

Where have I justified it? I'll wait.

Well...democrats are neither chimpanzees nor rational....so what are democrats?

Wise-cracking funnyman Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean.

The tussle left Franken’s trademark thick-rim glasses broken, but he said he was not injured.

Franken – who seemed in a state of shock and out of breath after the incident – was helped back to his feet by several people who watched the tussle. Police arrived soon after.

“I got down low and took his legs out,” said Franken afterwards.

Franken said he’s not backing Dean but merely wanted to protect the right of people to speak freely. “I would have done it if he was a Dean supporter at a Kerry rally,” he said.

“I’m neutral in this race but I’m for freedom of speech, which means people should be able to assemble and speak without being shouted down.”

The trouble started when several supporters of fringe presidential candidate Lyndon Larouche began shouting accusations at Dean.

Franken emerged from the crowd and charged one male protester, grabbing him with a bear hug from behind and slamming him onto the floor.

“I was a wrestler so I used a wrestling move,” Franken said.

And you think the situations were the same? Pathetic try, but I guess it's all you got.

You are right, they are not the same......franken actually attacked the guy in the crowd.....did you read the quote dipshit....franken the psycho, charged the protestors on his own...they did not confront him, he was not defending himself....he attacked them....

Franken emerged from the crowd and charged one male protester, grabbing him with a bear hug from behind and slamming him onto the floor.

moron...

It's assault in the same way as the incident with the reporter. Neither was threatening the other.

Ah yes, Franken was wrong, and should have been charged with assault. Just as Gianforte is charged with assault. I hope that the miscreant gets the full six months, and has to serve them immediatly.

Franken did not steal the election. Of course you are known to drink the look-aid of bullshit. Stop you lying.

Yes...he stole his election...this is from left wing U.S.News...

https://www.usnews.com/opinion/blog...-have-won-his-senate-seat-through-voter-fraud

The certification of Franken as the victor came only after a series of recounts dragging out for almost half a year. It also sparked an investigation by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group that compared the list of those recorded as having voted in the election against what Fund calls “criminal rap sheets.” The group found, in what appears to clearly warrant further and official inquiry, that

… At least 341 convicted felons voted in Minneapolis's Hennepin County, the state's largest, and another 52 voted illegally in St. Paul's Ramsey County, the state's second largest. Dan McGrath, head of Minnesota Majority, says that only conclusive matches were included in the group's totals. The number of felons voting in those two counties alone exceeds Mr. Franken's victory margin.

Thus far no one is calling for the results to be overturned. Indeed Dan McGrath, who spearheaded the inquiry, told Fox News, "We aren't trying to change the result of the last election. That legally can't be done." He added: “We are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isn't compromised."
Hey sweet little cocksuck, Paperview just blew your lies concerning Franken right out of the water. Once again, you stand as the serial liar you are, just like your idol, the fat senile old orange clown.

Nope......I don't recall franken being paid security at the Dean event...was he? Asshole......he grabbed total strangers and body slammed one of them.....on his own, attacking from behind.........and the democrats closing ranks around him is typical.........shithead....

That reported refused to leave and wasn't welcome in the office, which is private property. The Dem schill put his hands on the Republican first.

According to witnesses the reporter never touched the politician. He was grabbed "by the neck"...kind of has to be the throat.

Love your double standards.

Journalist recounts candidate's alleged assault on reporter
As the crew was setting up, Gianforte was approached by the Guardian’s Ben Jacobs, who put a voice recorder “to Gianforte’s face and began asking if he had a response to the newly released Congressional Budget Office report on the American Health Care Act,” the Republican replacement for the Affordable Care Act, she wrote.

“Gianforte,” Acuna wrote, “told him he would get back to him later. Jacobs persisted with his question. Gianforte told him to talk to his press guy, Shane Scanlon.”

“At that point,” she wrote, “Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him.”

...Acuna and her crew “watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, ‘I’m sick and tired of this!’”

She walked back the grabbing the throat comment...said she may have mistated that part.....

And again....the attack by franken was completely different.....he attacked the protestor....you know...someone who was simply shouting from a distance at howard dean during a rally.....he ran up behind the guy and actually body slammed him.......that is far worse than what the politician did.....

She walked it back to hands on either side of the neck. The only difference it makes is to those trying to excuse him.

No.....the difference is choking vs. holding someone.......
Asshole, he used that hold to slam Jacobs to the ground. Damn, you just cannot stop lying, can you.

So he could be thrown to the ground and punched out. Quit trying to justify it.

I already posted that I didn't justify it.....I would still vote for him over a democrat.
Of course you would. And in Germany in the '30's, you would have voted for Hitler.

Franken was helping Security and LEO's maintain peace. That is a whole different ballgame than attacking a reporter because he asked an uncomfortable question. Franken's actions were justified, not assault at all. Gianforte's actions were criminal.

LOL Contradicting yourself in a matter of minutes. You already stated that you would support the miscreant in Montana.

Minnesota has unsurpassed talent to produce political idiots of all stripes.

Jesse Ventura, Michelle Bachmann, Keith Ellison. Al Franken.

Minnesota also has unsurpassed talent to welcome garbage of Africa.

"You know, and I'm the one who said that," Acuna replied. "I saw both his hands go up, not around his neck in a strangling type of way, but more just on each side of his neck, just grabbed him and I guess it could've been on his clothes, I don't know."

Not much of a difference. Keep making excuses for assault.

And, no, Jacobs did not put his hands on Gianforte. That is a lie put out by Gianforte's campaign, and called out as a lie by every witness to the crime.
Montana Assault Witness Changes Story, Says No Neck Grab

Already, the recanting has begun. I wonder what else they thought they saw.

"You know, and I'm the one who said that," Acuna replied. "I saw both his hands go up, not around his neck in a strangling type of way, but more just on each side of his neck, just grabbed him and I guess it could've been on his clothes, I don't know."

Both actions are inexcusable.

Nope, that story changed too, he wasn't grabbed by the throat.

Transalation - if a rightwing patriot assaults a leftwing pussy - it's GOOD.

I'll remember that next time you lot gripe about leftwing violence :)
