It's not a Federal case.
That's why he was asking the GOVERNOR OF NEW YORK to issue the pardon, Dumbass.

He only gets pardoned, if he goes away, like Nixon did.
I don't remember seeing you in the meeting. What part of the Constitution is that from?He only gets pardoned, if he goes away, like Nixon did.
The part where it says the president has the only say in those matters.I don't remember seeing you in the meeting. What part of the Constitution is that from?
True, JUSTICE!Which would then expose the Lawfare for what it is.
Wow! You are also A world class moron for not getting what he was implying.Duh, I'm aware of that. What difference does that make? I'm country over party!
In this case, it's the governor of the state. This wasn't a federal prosecution. The part where it says the president has the only say in those matters.
Finally figured that out, eh? I guess Trump wouldn’t be able to pardon himself and would have to run the country from state prison! In this case, it's the governor of the state. This wasn't a federal prosecution.
Quite easy. Should the democrats demonstrate a bit of intelligence and the governor pardon TRUMP! at Quid Pro Joe's very public request, the following would happen:
1. Democrats would begin to shed a bit of the petty vindictiveness they've been displaying for years now. The way they've been playing this whole "get TRUMP! at any and all costs" thing just shows them piling on and going for personal destruction, NOT justice for a serious crime committed. The average voter has a fairly strong sense of fair play, and when they see the democrat machine bending over backwards and desperately trying to pin something on TRUMP!, they have a negative reaction. The average voter also wonders why a bookkeeping snafu about a hush payment warrants the circus.
2. Democrats would suddenly look more like the statesmen in the Republican party, wanting a fair fight at the ballot box instead of trying to keep the opposition out of the ballot box.
2. TRUMP! would look like a total ingrate if he turned around and bashed democrats after they went to bat for him to get a pardon. It would neuter one of his favorite tactics.
3. TRUMP! would not be able to play up the martyr angle anymore. He's a master at that, fund raising off injustices done to him. That resonates with a lot of people who have had bad experiences with the justice system. Being free and clear would force him to change course in his campaign into an unplanned and uncomfortable arena.
There are a lot of upsides to the governor issuing a pardon, making the democrats the magnanimous party that rescued TRUMP! from disaster. They would solidify power for a little bit.
True, JUSTICE!
It amuses one to no end watching democrats suddenly being so absolutely concerned that "justice" must be done. Naturally, that will vanish suddenly.True, JUSTICE!
No, it's politics.That is idiotic.
Not if the governor gets an attack of the smarts and pardons him. Finally figured that out, eh? I guess Trump wouldn’t be able to pardon himself and would have to run the country from state prison!
No, it's politics.
Not if the governor gets an attack of the smarts and pardons him.
If they did it, they would totally neuter two of TRUMP!'s biggest tools, his ability to use martyr status for gain and his attacks on his opponents. It's idiotic politically
Then why say Joe should do it?No, it's politics.
Not if the governor gets an attack of the smarts and pardons him.
He should be publicly involved, so it's a show of statesmanship from the top down in the party. He would reap the benefit of looking compassionate, but we know he won't.Then why say Joe should do it?
Looks like you're still triggered.View attachment 955674
U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) on Friday urged New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to pardon Donald Trump following the former president’s conviction on 34 charges in his hush money trial.
Phillips, a onetime presidential candidate who ended his long-shot bid for the White House in March, made the entreaty after Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records to cover up a payoff to a porn star who said that she’d slept with Trump — an affair that Trump has denied.
“Donald Trump is a serial liar, cheater, and philanderer, a six-time declarer of corporate bankruptcy, an instigator of insurrection, and a convicted felon who thrives on portraying himself as a victim,” Phillips wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “[Hochul] should pardon him for the good of the country.”

House Democrat Urges New York Governor To Pardon Trump ‘For The Good Of The Country’
Wow, that's the dumbest suggestion that I've heard in a long time! If we really are a nation of laws - prove it! What if he's also convicted in one or more of the three remaining more serious cases against him? What do you think?
If Trump and MAGA keep up their lies, NO MERCY! If they see the error of their ways, there’s always the 14th Amendment to give them back their political rights. He should be publicly involved, so it's a show of statesmanship from the top down in the party. He would reap the benefit of looking compassionate, but we know he won't.
Convicted felon Trump loves to tell this story at all of his Klan rallies.Quite easy. Should the democrats demonstrate a bit of intelligence and the governor pardon TRUMP! at Quid Pro Joe's very public request, the following would happen:
