Anybody routinely get a flu shot

Not since the last time I was forced to by the AF in 1973. Haven't had the flu since either.

So far this year so good.

Recent years? The flu shots I got as soon as they became available have kept me flu-free. It's been that way since I didn't get one in 1967 and had my last bout with it.

I will admit it is perverse pleasure but I do laugh like Hell when the people I know who refuse to get a shot are laid up for a week or more with flu. So far none have died. When one does I won't laugh. Not openly.

Now whatever you anti-vaxxers do...DO NOT get one of those shingles shots. You're so much more fun to be around when your dancing and scratching.
