Asymptomatic May Be Spreading the Virus More Than First Though

I think this just demonstrates more importantly to self isolate as much as possible. It appears that it's possible those that are not showing symptoms of the virus may in fact be the ones that are spreading the disease around more than those who are displaying signs of illness.

Infected people without symptoms might be driving the spread of coronavirus more than we realized - CNN

(CNN)New studies in several countries and a large coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts bring into question reassuring assertions by US officials about the way the novel virus spreads.

These officials have emphasized that the virus is spread mainly by people who are already showing symptoms, such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing. If that's true, it's good news, since people who are obviously ill can be identified and isolated, making it easier to control an outbreak.

But it appears that a Massachusetts coronavirus cluster with at least 82 cases was started by people who were not yet showing symptoms, and more than half a dozen studies have shown that people without symptoms are causing substantial amounts of infection.

Not to cause controversy or whatever, if we had more available resources and could test those that have potentially been exposed to the virus and not just showed symptoms (even those people have been refused testing in the past) this whole thing could have been on a different trajectory.

LOL...

We knew this back in December... Nice to see CNN is just three months behind now...

Funny, hmmmm I had the flu in late December, and it was the first time I've had the flu in years. Kind of surprised me.

I had a cough that lasted 3 to 4 weeks afterwards. The flu symptoms lasted about 4 days if that when it started.

Forget about all these BS theories they have about reducing the communist Chinese virus. Let it play out. When it's over, it's over.

We did? Link?
The US government and the CDC knew this back in late December and early January. In fact on January 7th, the day Trump initiated the travel bans it was widely known.

A Person Can Carry And Transmit COVID-19 Without Showing Symptoms, Scientists Confirm

We were aware from reported infections that people could be infectious and A-symptomatic for as long as 19-24 days.

And all the more reason the POTUS should have been tested well before now, having been himself exposed multiple times. As was his daughter (not Tiffany, the one he remembers).

Oh, so you lied. That's not from 3 months ago. Also my article isn't about whether someone who is asymptomatic can spread the virus or not but to what degree. Please fuck off and let the adults talk.

Read the damn article NO JOY! It clearly states they knew this in December and January. The article was written after a study, which you also failed to read, confirmed what they knew back then....
A report from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention analysed records of all of China's reported cases of the virus from December 8 to February 11 and found that 1.2 percent of patients confirmed to be infected showed no symptoms.

.........

According to a letter published in the New England Journal of Medicine, a woman from Shanghai transmitted the virus to a 33-year-old German businessman in January. Three days later, he felt better and went back to work, then infected at least two of his colleagues. But the researchers had not spoken with the woman, who had in fact experienced mild symptoms at the time of transmission.

That left scientists unsure as to whether people who never experience any symptoms can transmit the disease – until today.

You like to jump to calling anyone who outs your stupidity a liar.... Guess who really is the LIAR? YOU ARE!

Oh. looks like your articles dates are about when the transmission happened, not when they knew about it. Just the same, it's not new that asymptomatic people can spread the disease but as to the severity of it. You clearly didn't understand that.

Absolutely.

It's much more broad than we think.
Thanks to the media induced panic, it is a given that is now spread throughout the entire population as large masses of idiots flooded the stores in the last few days hoarding for a rumored quarantine perpetuated by the MSM.
So much for self isolation as folks beat each other with Lysol cans for the last few rolls of asswipes.
