And considering this thread is about actual persecution of gays vs. western "persecution" of gays, it would end up there anyway.

The dancing boys is an aberration that takes place mainly in Afghanistan; which is the poorest and most illiterate country in the muslim world.

Who knows what this thread is about? Other than gays are treated monstrously by ISIS in it's territory, the OP didn't exactly provide very much.

When it comes to persecution that is a two way street b/c ISIS doesn't treat Christians living in their territory any better. Christians whining about having to bake a cake, or gays whining about having to go to another bakery, is pretty low on the persecution ladder when compared to ISIS's actions.

It's simple. To them being gay means an emotional connection. A gay man can be in love with another man. Raping little boys is just rape. No one cares about them.

It's simple. To them being gay means an emotional connection. A gay man can be in love with another man. Raping little boys is just rape. No one cares about them.

Actually it's that they figure a prepubescent boy isn't a "man" yet so it's not even homosexual sex.

Actually, lemme expand on that a bit. The Scripture they use is the same Jews and Christians use to object, Lev 18:22. But the text says 'man with man...' So since manhood typically isn't until age 13, boys under that aren't men thus taking the literaly posiiton of interpretation, it's not a sin.

Freedom of religion doesn't mean you can only do things in a Church without worry of government intrusion.

The state of Oregon has a specific law that says you cannot discriminate against sexual orientation.

and the 1st amendment guarantees free exercise of Religion. The question becomes which one hold more weight.

Right? But using religious beliefs to allow justify civil rights violations will not work. You can't imprison someone in your church against their will, for example.

Imprisonment is actual harm. Hurt feelings over having to go to another baker to get a cake is not harm.

I wonder if merely baking can be religious enough. This is a church or ministry's bakery? Would it require that to evoke religious freedom?

Being a Church or not doesn't matter. Unless the government has a compelling interest to force the baker to bake the cake, 1st amendment protections should trump any PA laws.
