I dunno about "worship" but it was certainly done to keep women on an inferior level.

There was a lot of that going around at the time. All the monotheistic religions came up with the bizarre idea of God as male, even though in Nature it's by definition the female that is the life giver, and a male giving birth is impossible.

That is, assuming life is the objective of a God. But then that's perhaps not a safe assumption. Especially considering the way these male Gods have been used in the service of war and the conquest of Mother Nature.

Women have generally had it much better in Christian cultures than in others. Monogomy and marriage benefitted women more than men. I never heard the spin that Eve and her female offspring gained supernatural knowledge. I gues that explains why wimmen feel compelled to micromanage men's lives.

I'm kind of tired at the moment so can you review Jeremiah 9:1-19 and give us the CONTEXT of this verse?

Actual text says 'from Adam's side' not his rib. Meaning man and woman should be side by side (way I read it anyway.) Nothing about G-d being male. Jewsh texts refer to G-d as both male and female, but since Hebrew has no neutral pronoun, it had to be one or the other. And study and learning are extremely imprtant for all who choose to obey G-d. Judaism recognizes 7 female prophets and regards these are vastly superior to men in prophesy.

I think your problem is, like many, instead of reading Tanach you rely upon 'pop religion' as your theological education.
