Americans feel better about their personal financial situation than they did under Obama, Clinton, or even Reagan. This year-to-year number has been rising since 2018 and has hit a 44-year record high according to Gallup’s “Mood of the Nation” economic survey. Gallup reports that 59% of Americans — nearly six in 10 — say that they are better off financially than they were a year ago, which is up from 50% last year.
[...]
There has also been a sharp decline in the percentage of people who say that they are financially worse off than a year ago. Only 20% of Americans are stating that as their financial reality, and that is a record low.

Amazing that a president with such a strong economy is so universally disliked

Only in your biased eye. The Democrats have gotten more nasty and hateful since the 2016 election when many voters simply avoided saying who they supported. Then they went to the polls and gave President a landslide victory. He will do so again with an even greater victory for him and for America.

Trump is one of the most disliked Presidents in history. On par with Nixon.
That is why his strong economy will not help his re-election

Biden needs two things in a Vice President
Someone who can deliver swing states
Given Biden would only serve one term and is quite old, someone who can step in as President.

The Biden veepstakes

1. Liz Warren: Name recognition, solidifies liberal wing
2. Amy Klobuchar: Can deliver key Midwest votes
3. Kamala Harris: Impressive speaker, black vote
4. Corey Booker: Articulate and passionate, black vote
5. Stacey Abrams: Georgia, black vote
6. Gov Lujan Grisham of New Mexico: little known, Hispanic vote

Not sure he needs a Veep to deliver the black vote. He does well will blacks already and he is a Democrat. I think it’s too early to make an accurate guess, but I would throw Beto O’Rouke’s name into the mix. He may make Texas a race and the Hispanic vote too.

Seemed like Beto made a deal right before Super Tuesday and delivereD Texas

The NRA will be thrilled with Beto

Slow Joe will be the nominee. The DNC can't allow Bernie to have the nomination, they know they would lose by a massive landslide.

Biden makes FDR gaffe during CBS interview
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESSSeptember 23, 2008 8:23 PM

WASHINGTON - It hasn't been a good 24 hours for Joe Biden.

Speaking to the "CBS Evening News," the Democratic vice-presidential candidate said today's leaders should take a lesson from the history books and follow fellow Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt's response to a financial crisis.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened,'" Biden said in an interview broadcast Monday.

Problem is, Republican Herbert Hoover was in office when the stock market crashed in October 1929. FDR was elected three years later.

Biden makes FDR gaffe during CBS interview
Somewhat out of touch with the real history of the Depression

But not of the scope of claiming Washington captured British airports in the Revolutionary War
British ports. Idiot.

Nice try, but Washington didn’t capture any British ports either.
Trump said “airports”

“Our army manned the air, rammed the ramparts, took over airports”
Oh, big deal. You really wanna go down that road when you're voting Biden?
Sure let’s do it
Want to compare Biden’s gaffes to Trump?

You will lose Bigly

I noted that early in the thread. Also noted that Joe Biden isn't the nominee and there won't be a nominee until the convention names one.
If given a choice, Dems will not run Bernie

What if there is no choice though.

As you know and know well, President Donald Trump is doing an absolutely fantastic job in spite of all the roadblocks laid down by the Democrats. Voters are sick and tired of the antics by the desperate Democrats.

Actually, he is doing a horrible job destroying our international alliances, starting unnecessary trade wars, running a trillion dollar deficit and selling off our environment

They sure are. Why just this morning I saw thousands and thousands of them dancing on rooftops in protest about that. Just like on Seven Eleven. One of them stole a Revolutionary War plane and flew it all the way to a very wonderful place in Germany. Believe me. Because I have the best words and we need brain. Also I got more electoral votes than anybody since Mike Pence, and O'bama tapppppppppped my wires.

Trump is a prick

I don't think even his staunchest supporters deny that. He's an asshole. He's not someone with whom I would want to associate.

I only voted for him in 2016, because the only plausible alternative was much, much, much worse.

That said, he's proven over the past three years that he's fit for the job. To a degree that I don't think I have ever seen before in my life time (with a possible exception of Reagan), he's demonstrated a willingness to put the interests of this country above any selfish, personal gains, and he's demonstrated an ability to get things done that need to be done, in spite of incredible obstruction and sabotage from the treasonous opposing party.

I am going to be much happier voting for him again this year than I was about voting for him in 2016.

I still don't want to be his friend. He's still an asshole.
