Biden vs Trump 2024 from Now till November 5, 2024

[Republican Jews, please.....vote for this guy.
Sorry, but Israel and the US have been warning Hezbollah from almost the start to not get involved. Hezbollah does not go by someone saying...."Do not do this"]

Former president Donald Trump on Wednesday criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and called Hezbollah terrorist attackers “very smart” as Israel recovers from the deadliest attack it has suffered in 50 years.

---
Later on Wednesday, Trump, the clear polling leader in the Republican presidential race, complimented the intelligence of Hezbollah, which has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States. The Iran-aligned group, based in Lebanon, exchanged fire with Israeli forces on the country’s northern border Wednesday.

“You know, Hezbollah is very smart,” Trump said. “They’re all very smart.”

------
Trump’s comments reflected his long-established pattern of slighting U.S. allies while complimenting adversaries such as Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung defended the former president’s comments as meant to criticize unspecified U.S. officials for giving Hezbollah the idea to attack from the north. He said Trump was referring to a briefing by a senior U.S. defense official on Monday that expressed concern about Hezbollah opening a second front.

In the same breath, Trump acknowledged that his remark about Hezbollah could be controversial, immediately adding, “The press doesn’t like when they say it.” He went on to repeat that he views Xi as a “very smart man” because “1.4 billion people, he controls it with an iron fist.”

“They kill me the next day - ‘I said he was smart,’ " Trump mocked. “What am I going to say? But Hezbollah, they’re very smart.”

He added, speaking again of Israel’s enemies, “They’re vicious and they’re smart and boy, are they vicious.”

While it’s always been glaringly obvious that Donald Trump is a fake populist and fake Christian, it’s still nice when Republicans—especially those who worked in his administration—come forward to confirm it. Somehow, Trump’s rabid evangelical supporters have still failed to pick up on the fact that Trump mispronounces the books of Bible (almost as if he’s never read the thing), claims he’s never done anything that would require God’s forgiveness, and once asked an adult film star to spank him with a copy of Forbes—instead of, say, Aquinas’ “Summa Theologica,” as any realChristian would surely do.

And his tired “man of the people” shtick was always a bit hard to swallow, given that the one major piece of economic legislation he signed as pr*sident was a tax law that primarily enriched him and his wealthy friends. (And, of course, to keep the grift going, he lied to his supporters’ faces about who would benefit.)

So it was particularly refreshing when Olivia Troye—who worked for former Vice President Mike Pence as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force before resigning in protest of Trump’s unholy monkey fuck of a COVID strategy—recently appeared on “The View” to defend her former boss and point out that Trump isn’t particularly respectful of his own voters. And why would he be? They’re sentient, flesh-and-blood humans not named Donald Trump.

Asked why so many people still have a blind loyalty to Trump despite, well, everything, Troye revealed that Trump actually has nothing but contempt for the millions of gullible marks he pretends to love like his own daughter. (Well, maybe not like his own daughter. That would be weird. Though it would make for one of the most entertaining Penthouse Forum and/or Farmers’ Almanac letters ever.)

Robert De Niro’s statement on Donald is perfect. Please read it:

“I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men. I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty.
Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump.

When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly.

I see an evil one.

Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.”

Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped.

Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.”

He has contempt for all of them.

We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego. We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.

We tried to warn the world in 2016.

The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags.

The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.

Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.

So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America:

This is our last chance.

Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator.

And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided.

So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls.

We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them.

Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect. Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it.

Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity.

Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency. Let’s welcome them back.

We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””

Former US president Donald Trump has privately been calling for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be “impeached” for failing to anticipate the massive Hamas onslaught, according to a Thursday report.

The stance has been advocated in calls Trump has held with several pro-Israel, Republican allies who have asked the former president and current GOP presidential frontrunner how he would handle the current Israel-Hamas war, Rolling Stone magazine said, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

Trump has proposed capturing and extraditing Hamas figures along with cutting off all US humanitarian aid to the Palestinians (in both the West Bank and Gaza, as he did when he was president), Rolling Stone said

In most of the conversations, though, Trump has focused on his distaste for Netanyahu, whom he has never forgiven for congratulating US President Joe Biden after he won the 2020 election.

Trump has expressed his desire for Netanyahu to be out of office by the time he hopes to be back in the White House as president in 2025, according to the report.

Also in these conversations with pro-Israel, Republican allies, Trump has likened the “very weak” Netanyahu to the majority of American Jews who voted for Biden in the previous election.

Trump, who was twice impeached himself, has asked multiple close aides whether he should begin publicly calling for Netanyahu’s ouster but has thus far been told that doing so would not be appropriate while Israel is still counting the dead from the massive Hamas assault.

The Rolling Stone report came as Trump was already under fire from Israel, Biden and even Republican rivals over comments he made at a campaign rally on Wednesday criticizing Jerusalem over the intelligence failure that led to the Hamas assault, calling Defense Minister Yoav Gallant a “jerk” and the Hezbollah terror group “very smart.”

Trump made the comments while recalling his administration’s 2020 assassination of Qassem Soleimani, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force.

Trump reiterated his claim that Netanyahu backed out at the last minute from actively taking part in the killing.

“I’ll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down. That was a very terrible thing. We were very disappointed, but we did the job ourselves, and it was absolute precision, magnificent, beautiful job,” he said. “Then Bibi tried to take credit for it. That didn’t make me feel too good. But that’s all right.”

Netanyahu’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. But communications minister Shlomo Karhi told Israel’s Channel 13 that it is “shameful that a man like that, a former US president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel’s fighters and its citizens.”

We have dead Americans and hostages in Israel and Gaza until that gets avenged and rectified Biden has zero chance of winning re election.... PERIOD....

There have been many sayings in the Media and on the boards. Is Biden too old for a second turn? Has Biden damaged the country? Is Trump capable of understanding the issues? Does he understand what he says in his rallies and interviews on television?

We are about 14 months until the election. Clearly, for me, Trump will be the candidate for the Republicans, Biden for the Democrats.

I will be posting what one side or the other, and the Media say on both until November 5, 2024.

I want to follow what happens from now until Election Day from both sides.

So, Here we go !!

A sad sight and a very depressing thought!

Biden is so bad Trump could drop out of the race and still win.

This week’s recap focuses on former President Trump’s enabling of far-right religious activists and the extreme and wildly unpopular agenda they seek to advance:

In October 2017, Trump highlighted his support for far-right constituencies that helped him get elected a year earlier.

On October 13, Trump spoke at the Values Voter Summit, an annual gathering of religious-right political activists hosted by the intensely anti-LGBTQ, anti-choice, Family Research Council.  A few days later, he addressed a group of major donors to the Heritage Foundation, the massive right-wing think tank and political force.

At the Values Voter Summit, Trump bragged about his nomination of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, and repeated the ridiculous claim that he was “stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values” by making it safe (finally!) for people to say, “Merry Christmas.”

At the same conference, far-right Trump aide Steve Bannon declared war on the Republican establishment, religious-right leaders braggedabout their progress in resisting LGBTQ equality, NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch declared, “Feminism is dead,” and GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore claimed that the First Amendment “is a mandate to acknowledge God.”

Speaking to the Heritage Foundation’s President’s Council, Trump claimed to be leading “the defense of our God-given rights,” bragged about his judges, and promoted his tax cut plan, which delivered most of its benefits to the wealthiest Americans.

Here’s how this Trump two-fer reminds us how dangerous it would be for Trump to have the power to carry out his far-right supporters’ wishes:

  • The conservative white evangelicals who voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016 and 2020 are triumphant about the Supreme Court they built together. They are now pushing for both state and national bans on abortion. They are urging the same right-wing majority to further dismantle church-state separation, reverse marriage equality and undermine legal protections for LGBTQ Americans.
  • Family Research Council leaders not only promoted Trump’s reelection; they were also deeply involved in Trump’s illegal efforts to stay in power after his 2020 defeat. Trump returns their loyalty, speaking at this year’s FRC activist gathering, which focused on taking and wielding political power to impose the religious-right’s “biblical worldview” on American law and society. Trump delivered an apocalyptic message: “This election will decide whether America will be ruled by Marxists, fascists, communist tyrants who want to smash the Judeo-Christian heritage or whether America will be saved by God-fearing, freedom loving patriots like all of the people in this room.”
  • Trump also bragged to FRC activists this year that he had “totally transformed the federal judiciary,” a reminder of the cataclysmic, generations-long damage to our rights and freedom if Trump were allowed to pick up where he left off with his far-right judicial nominees.
  • The Family Research Council has joined a remarkably shameless effort to impose a right-wing Christian “biblical worldview” religious test on future Republican Supreme Court nominees, a plan spelled out in great detail at last month’s Pray Vote Stand, the new name FRC has given to the former VVS. Among the people on the religious-right wish-list for SCOTUS are some of Trump’s most extreme lower court nominees, and the head of the religious-right legal giant Alliance Defending Freedom.
  • Meanwhile, the increasingly MAGAfied Heritage Foundation is leading a massive right-wing battle plan to declare war on federal government agencies and purge thousands of nonpartisan civil service employees if Trump or another conservative is elected president. The director of Project 2025 says they are “systematically preparing to march into office and bring a new army, aligned, trained, and essentially weaponized conservatives ready to do battle against the deep state.”
  • One goal of the Project is to advance the Far Right’s goal of slashing the federal government and giving Trump practically dictatorial powers over every aspect of the executive branch.
  • Project 2025 is more evidence of the far-right plan to reverse the New Deal and more than 100 years of progressive advances and force Americans to live under an interpretation of the Constitution where states’ rights trump both individual rights and federal efforts to advance the common good. The election of Trump—or someone equally willing to do their bidding—is all they need to launch their attack.

People For the American Way

In his latest gaffe-laden speech, the disgraced ex-president served up a self-own for the ages, warning that "cognitively impaired" President Joe Biden could lead the country into "World War TWO" if he wins re-election. "Just think of it. We would be in World War TWO very quickly if we’re going to be relying on this man, and far more devastating than any war," Trump said out loud with his own mouth into a microphone in front of people and rolling cameras. Directly after rewriting perhaps the largest chapter in world history from the last 100 years, Trump then appeared to suggest he was polling far better than Barack Obama — who is definitely not running for a third term, because, well you know, he legally cannot do so — in his quest to retake the White House next year. A very stable and in no way cognitively impaired genius!

He sounds like someone who is losing his marbles. He also doesn’t sound very strong any more...pretty frail.

Trump is right, there is a problem with Jews not being grateful.

Congratulations, he just got fewer number of Jews who are going to vote for him in 2024.

Keep it up, please.

[ Its the endless negative Republican propaganda, stupid !]

It’s worth recalling that six or nine or 12 months ago, many economists thought we’d be in a recession by now. We’re not even close. Consumers are still spending. “Excess savings” that consumers piled up during the COVID downturn were supposed to run out, but shoppers, somehow, still have gas in the tank. Even housing, depressed of late by surging interest rates, is showing signs of life.

Americans must be celebrating their own financial resilience, right? Bahaha! No! Misery rules! Everything sucks!

Confidence levels fell in the University of Michigan’s latest consumer sentiment survey, continuing a string of surprisingly dismal readouts on consumer attitudes. Confidence is similar to levels during the Great Recession, when the value of stock portfolios and homes was plunging and millions of workers were losing their jobs. Confidence now is considerably worse than in April 2020, when COVID was metastasizing, thousands were dying every day, and much of the nation went into an open-ended shutdown. Other confidence measures show roughly the same levels of despondency.

To many economists, this makes no sense, given that the unemployment rate is a super low 3.8%. Everybody knows what is spoiling the party: inflation. Even so, the inflation rate has dropped sharply from a high of 9% in 2022 to 3.7% now. Yet confidence has worsened for three months in a row, as if inflation is getting worse, not better.

With increasing frequency, the ex-president is descending into visible confusion on stage at his pep rallies, most recently in Iowa, where he mistakenly ID'd Sioux City as Sioux Falls, then shared a pointless, absurd anecdote that began with Melania supposedly calling him, "sir," as wives so often do. Let's definitely keep talking about presidential candidates' cognitive decline, though.

Biden's top campaign contributor was found guilty of grand fraud and other crimes. He faces up to 100 years in prison.
Elections are coming.
