Big election in the 18th District of PA today-- a sign of what's headed toward the GOP this Nov.

It just seems really odd to me, that people would vote for a guy who is mirroring Trump policies but is not actually in his party, nor is he proven to be someone espousing those policies, as Trump has done so far. What is the appeal of that?

Imagine a GOP candidate came out tomorrow and said "we need to increase taxes, and Lenin was a great man" would alt-left voters somewhere in Cali say, "yeah, that guys seems sort of like Bernie let's vote for the Republican!"

The Dem ran away from the left and the Gop ran away from the right. They both seemingly met in the middle on issues.
Point being that the far left lunacy that has been running loose in Congress is yet again rejected.
Trumps pragmatism is reflected in both candidates.

Wow! You are a human pretzel.

More like a human top, that was the best spin i have seen in a long time

A Democrat gave may have won by acting like a Republican.

Sanity makes a return in the Democratic Party?

99% in and its a dead tie.

49.7% to 49.7%

95 votes separate the two. As soon as the Dems figure out how many votes they’ll actually need, those votes will miraculously appear.

Time for The Dems to pull out Fake Absentee Ballots and for mysterious boxes of ballots to disappear or suddenly show up.

It’s the really close elections they have expertise in stealing.

Is it normal for 3700 of a TOTAL of 6900 "absentee" voters to be from the one district that happens to also be the only district that Lamb is winning, at 57%?

Stay alert America, the dirty socialists of the world will do anything...
I see you have your excuses ready.

Wait, I don't remember suggesting another nation somehow one an election for the President, nor screaming "impeach 45"! even when they can't even state why. Yes, I do find it odd than over half of the absentee voters are from one area, and that area is massively supportive of the challenger.

If the alt-left socialists take over America you had better polish up on your Mandarin.

So which district did you vote in?

My observation is this. The district will disappear under new redistricting rules, which means this race is pointless. If a recount is triggered the district may disappear before the recount is finalized. Heck, it could be possible that both men could run and win in separate districts under the redrawn districts.

It's a wash.

Nah it’s fake. If this guy wins he’ll do the opposite of his Pro Trump Campaign.

Nonsense.

Who ever wins has to run again. In fact they have to register to run within the next two weeks.

Not only that but if this election is contested neither of them may get seated before the seat is actually abolished.

It is entirely possible that both of these men could wind up seated in the next election.

When you say "district", do you mean county?

As for why half the absentee votes came from Alleghany County - that would be because about half the population of the district lives in Alleghany County.

Lamb isn't "mirroring" Trump's policies. He agrees with Trump on tariffs and guns.

That's about it.

He also pretends to be pro life.

The man is a Republican he just hasn't grown up enough yet to recognize it.

He's stated that he's personally pro-life, but wouldn't vote for any of the anti-abortion bills that have come up in Congress recently.

Also people are neglecting to realize the impact of the last minute Fake Libertarian who gave the middle finger to the people of PA and ran despite having no chance to win.

And Saccone was an awful candidate and just Flat and uninspiring.
